Hi there.

Take a look at this, they are spanish group (Idon't know if you had heard of them) their name is Tierra Santa and the song is " La Cancion del Pirata" (the Song of the Pirate) its based on a poem.

http://www.goear.com/listen.php?v=e2af58d

(here is an english poor traduction of the song)

With ten guns by side,
Wind in its sails at full sail,
Not short sea, but flies
A sailboat brig.
Bajel pirate callers,
For his bravery, Temido,
Known throughout sea
From each other end.

The moon rïela(glows) at sea,
On the canvas groans wind,
And hike in soft movement
Waves of silver and blue;
And is the captain pirate,
Joyous singing in the stern,
Asia to one side, the other Europe,
And there on his forehead Stambul:

"Sailing, sailing ship mine,
Without fear,
That neither enemy ship
Nor storm, nor bonanza
Reaches your way down,
Or to hold your worth.

Twenty dams
Have done
Despite
English,
And have surrendered
Their banners
One hundred nations
To my feet.

That is my treasure my boat,
It is my god freedom,
My law, the strength and wind,
My only homeland, the sea.

There move fierce war
Reyes blind
By an inch over land;
I have here on my own
As bravío covers the sea,
Anyone who imposed laws.

And there is no beach,
Regardless,
Nor flag
Splendor,
Not feel that
My right
And given chest
I value.

That is my treasure my boat,
It is my god freedom,
My law, the strength and wind,
My only homeland, the sea.

The voice of "boat comes!"
Is seeing
How bends and prevents
The whole cloth to escape;
I am the king of the sea,
And my fury is to be feared.

In dams
I divided
What caught
Alike;
I just want
By wealth
Beauty
Unrivaled.

That is my treasure my boat,
It is my god freedom,
My law, the strength and wind,
My only homeland, the sea.

I Sentenced to death!
I river;
I do not abandon the lot,
And the same sentence to me,
Colgaré some entena,
Perhaps in his own ship.
And if down,
What is life?
For lost
And Di,
When the yoke
Slave,
As a Bravo,
Sacudí.

That is my treasure my boat,
It is my god freedom,
My law, the strength and wind,
My only homeland, the sea.

They are my best music
Aquilones,
And the cacophony tremor
The wires shaken,
The black sea bramidos
And the roar of my guns.

And the thunder
Are the violent,
And wind
Rebramar to,
I sleep
Sedate,
Arrullado
By the sea.

That is my treasure my boat,
It is my god freedom,
My law, the strength and wind,
My only homeland, the sea. "

Have anyone listened to the new Radiohead album, In Rainbows? It's awesome. on a scale of 1-10, i give this one a 9.25 -- still can't beat The Bends though. :D

in rainbows is awesome! jigsaw falling into place is :love the bends is great, too, but my favorite radiohead album (and probably all-time favorite album from anyone) is ok computer. i know, i know, it's always everyone's favorite and the critics drool over it, but there's a reason for that. it's just really THAT good, imo ;)

oh, and here's a link to jigsaw falling into place on youtube if anyone is interested :nuts

Don't think any of the Radiohead's albums would be better than the bends but gotta say the Rainbows is great too... and the jigsaw falling into place ^^ awesome
Thom Yorke alone was doing fine but I'm happy it's complete radiohead again...

heeey.... ok computer is the best! honestly i think it was peaking, pablo honey < the bends < ok computer. kid a is kind of an offshoot of ok computer. but i cant compare it, pre-ok computer to post-ok computer. cause before that's the alternative grunge sound then they went to more modern crazy sounds. i prefer their new sound. and they did a great job with in rainbows!!!! radiohead is simply undying

In Rainbows is definitely a must listen to album. Jigsaw Falling into Place was my favourite track for a while but Im starting to favour Bodysnatchers now.

Though I thought Hail to the Thief was a darn good album album as well. Quite a few of my favourite Radiohead tracks are on there.

I'm more a symphonic metal fan - I'm currently loving Nightwish's new album, Dark Passion Play. Those who say Nightwish are nothing without Tarja haven't sat down and properly listened to this album... (I had a strange experiance with this one - read the credits at the back of the booklet and found that the company my aunt works for organises the orchestra. Well, you learn something new everyday.

And, just a question - Has anyone here heard of the U.K band Sex Gang?

Wow I cant believe I missed this topic! I listen to a few types of music. Rap is the main one and my favorite artsit is Lupe Fiasco. Unlike all these commercial rappers who rap about material things or stuff they dont do, Lupe's rhymes actually mean something. His lyrical skills are amazing and even people who dont like rap admit that his muzik is good.

I liked the ep / CD-R that came out last year. The CD Released in January that was not very pleased by changing some tracks. But they're amazing, afrobeat is the new "hype" of the season.

How did I miss this? Hm.. I listen mainly to progressive rock, metal, classic rock, classic metal, smooth jazz (instrumental), instrumental acoustic, and most recently "symphonic". I'm far too lazy right now to read through the ten pages, but my favorite bands include Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, The Killers, H.I.M., Gazette, Guns 'N Roses, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Shoji Meguro (composer), Nobuo Uematsu (composer), and so on and so forth. I'm sure there are others I'm missing, but those are the main ones.

My favorite out of those is definitely Dream Theater. In fact, I'm going to New York in May to see them and going solely for that reason. I'm uber, uber, uber excited! A band I just got into called Nightwish is really piquing my interest as well, so that might be another to add to the list, we'll see. I love the vocals! Oh yes, and while I'm pretty open minded, most rap I can't stand, though I'm beginning to open up to it more and more (just began listening to Public Enemy), and country. Sadly, I haven't found a single country song I can listen to for more than 5 seconds without switching it off and turning on some death metal. Hehe. :tem

Love The Mars Volta. Some of their songs are a bit too experimental for me and odd, the sound gets lost in all the nuances and instruments, but if you can listen hard and hear them all at once, it's amazing. But simply for the fact that their so damn original, I love them. Seems like this would be a band that would be completely amazing to see in concert. Then again, it could also be a disaster...luckily, I've heard only good things from their performances.

Oh yes, and my favorite song from them is probably Eriatarka (sorry if I spelled it wrong, haven't heard it in a while).

eriatarka is one of my favorites, too <3 you're right, though. sometimes it seems like they are trying a bit too hard to sound weird and different, so while some songs are more successful than others, i can still appreciate their originality :)

unfortunately, i haven't been to any of their shows, but i also have the feeling that seeing them live would be very hit or miss...
