My thought now is that Oda surely is not suddenly so hopelessly incompetent as to not at least give Kaido an Awakened Zoan fruit. He will use that and defeat Luffy, who until now has fought VERY impressively, frighteningly so. He is a young Yonkou level fighter. Now that he has begun using Conqueror's Haki in a useful fashion, it is but a matter of time before he can fight offensively on the scale to solo an emperor. He just isn't this time.
What will likely happen is that, now that Hawkins has realized a new path is open, and he is wounded, he will join the Raiders in their escape. The Marines will deem it ripe to invade Wano. The Revs will interfere, possibly, and stop CP0 from fighting. I don't want to derail the topic, but Rob Lucci is present and if Bellamy, a throwaway enemy, got a legit full-power rematch with Luffy, then sure as hell Lucci deserves it. And he was one of Luffy's most vicious battles.
Point is, there's going to be stuff preoccupying Kaido and Big Mom after the Alliance flees the scene. They have inflicted vast amounts of damage and to top it off surely pulled of a mass defection of dissatisfied Beast Pirates plus mind controlled Gifters. The Pleasures and a few others are likely all that will be left, besides maybe a couple All-Stars and die-hard Headliners. I doubt the tobi Roppo will even stay loyal. Maybe one or two... at best. If they are even alive. Robin has killed before (Yama), so I don''t know if maybe Black Maria is gone for good, if only for the flames.
The final match with Kaido will likely be with Kidd, Law, Hawkins, Drake, Zoro and Luffy, assuming Zoro isn't going to be fighting someone else. At this rate Kanjuro is a one-man army and his fruit is godly. Wouldn't surprise me if he just draws a legit Oden or Ryuuma, steels Shusui and one of Oden's swords, and Zoro must use Wado Ichimonji to slay them. Or maybe he just draws a pair of freaking Kaido dragons in high-detail. They wouldn't be as powerful but he could draw like... as many as he wants, right? It is a shame he died so easily. He should have been making armies and staying in the background until maybe ninja'd or sniped. Would give Nami, Ussop and Raizo something to do.
Anyway, the Supernovas will gang up on Kaido after the Raid fails. Hawkins will maybe make some kind of connection via his powers with Kaido, and then use the straw man to damage Kaido enough so that he is actually in a state in which he can be exhausted. Killing him seems like something either Big Mom, Myself, or the Marines will do.
This all assumes Oda isn't just tired. Because if he doesn't give Kaido an Awakened form, I do seriously doubt Luffy will lose again, or be forced to retreat with the others. In which case there'd be no reason for Kaido to stick around as a villain. he was the worst written in the ENTIRE series. Even Don Kreig was more interesting and fulfilling. And Wapol more despicable.
