Re: Kami no Procrastinator is going to State XD (team carry for the win!!)
I'm gonna get a new laptop as soon as I can save up to get one, all I know right now is that it's gonna be a Sony VAIO. Something around the £700-800 mark.
Tech-wiz? not really, I know enough to look after my stuff but even then it's really basic I think.
Re: Kami no Procrastinator is going to State XD (team carry for the win!!)
Yup, everyone wants Apple. I've never been into it to be fair, I'd only ever get a Mac laptop or desktop if I was loaded and wanted a 2nd computer. Otherwise, Windows is it for me.

Darn thought the insanity would be slightly less over there >< Yeah apple's so popular here even my mum wants one
But yeah I have a Dell Laptop that dad just grabbed off a shelf or something cause it doesn't even have a CD drive. And My good PC was locked away to stop me from playing games; this laptop lags even on flash game sites
I would Like to have a custom computer, but I've been out of the loop for a while so I'm not too sure what the specs should be. The thing is, putting it together generally means its cheaper and you get better parts. I found it pretty easy, I reckon in you look into it a bit you can try and build a fast, cheap PC as well!

Yeah my older bro has a customised computer which is ridiculous fast! he built it about 4-5 years ago now; I love using it. I've also wanted to do the same but only after I get a laptop and my own house. A PC isn't priority for me. Mind you, if I can afford to build my laptop then bonus!

You have no idea how expensive and how impossible it would be to custom make a laptop. All your parts have to be really compact, and they have to all somehow fit into the housing of your laptop case, and then....ugh....Like, it's that hard to change parts and stuff that generally if a laptop busts you're better off buying a new one
Yeah I don't think I'll ever try But yeah defiinitely hafta get a custom computer.

Yep, I've just checked a website to build my own laptop and everytime I changed something the price would skyrocket to ridiculous amounts; I guess it's like you say, they have to consider how to keep it as compact as possible The pre-custom laptop was £600 and by the time I finished customising it, it got to about £780 I grabbed my chest in panic lol
Uni will be different but it should be fun, so long as you embrace the new experience and adventures. Make sure you enjoy it and be as social as you can( I don't mean get drunk ) but also focus on your work when you need to. Play hard and study even harder....you'll be fine

Yeh and it's generally not worth it. You're not getting that much more performance for your buck.

Hrm, gotten used to the change? ( Or is there no change in America?)
What's different? Also, did you lose all your friends from highschool? Cause all my buddies are like going to different Unis and courses all over the country...
Who said I was an alcky?
Well speaking from experience, I'd have to say my freshers' year was really fun; getting to know your classmates and going to different events and the odd drink

Yeah, hopefully, but many people tell me studying in High School and Uni is pretty different.
Yes, I mean the level of information and work you do is very different; almost drastic at some stages...you feel, but as long as you go to your lectures and learn, it won't be anything you can't won't know.
Re: Kami no Procrastinator is going to State XD (team carry for the win!!)
Yeah, there is a big change from High school to Uni here... Actually the people I really was close to in high school go to the same college so that's a good thing for me.
I had to go dig out which quote this was referring to. No, I did quite well in trials, unfortunately not good enough because I am now no longer first in Chinese...off by 0.5 Over RAwr...Q_Q
But everything else was acceptable, maybe English went up a bit as well
Whoooaaa, you were first before?! All hail the awesome Hazeeee!!
Aww, come on! You can just reclaim your rightful place at first in the finals.
Oh yeah, CONGRATZ ON GRADUATING!!
No classes now or something? Being the lowly year 11 student that I am, I'm still clueless as to how the end of year 12 works.
And did you say something about having your final exams in October? I have my maths methods trial exam in 2 weeks... and then the real deal in November. Oh, fun story... I'm getting my braces off in November, and I was so excited at the clinic, I accidentally scheduled the appointment on the day of my maths exam paper 1.
Haha it's a pity because our school doesn't believe in these, I would have a much better time if assessments were take home. I mean, I had them in year 7-10, but not for 11 or 12. The only ones we take home was like Eco essays where you got given 3 essay questions, prepared all 3 and were given 1 to write about on the day.
Ahh, yeah... that would be nice. I hear that in year 12, SACs for sciences include conducting a prac and then writing it up under exam conditions and then handing it in... Anyway, I only know about maths SACs right now.
They are handing out the medals at the graduation assembly

Nobody, I was talking about myself. But the fact that you mentioned it....
Ah, sounds pretty good... occasional drink, huh? Fair enough.
goldb did you move out, or stay with your parents during Uni?

Nice I still think going to a new school all by yourself has got to be one of the most harrowing experiences evar...

Yeah, no classes. Just. Pure. study. *cough*
But yeah, the exams start mid-october then I'm free for the rest of my life by November 2nd, but some poor sods with bad subject choices have exams up until the 11th.
Ah, good luck with those! Make sure you get a lot of sleep! (I've had just about enough of getting Q1 wrong and the entire last Q correct >_________> It's a total waste, trading those difficult questions for those easy ones esp. when they're worth like the same.)
Lol nice job! It's the perfect reason to skip the exam
But yeah maybe you should have it taken off after otherwise it'll be hard to concentrate; I got mine off and I couldn't stop licking my teeth and stuff. Also if you get retainers those are troublesome as well

Oh, we have too many kids doing science so we don't have those anymore. Cause like with titrations and stuff there's never going to be enough equiptment.
SO instead we just get pre-done results and we analyse them for our prac component.
Since I epically fail at keeping up to date, have you had the graduation assembly yet?
So tell me, how much studying have you done in the past few days?
Yeah, no classes. Just. Pure. study. *cough*

Wow, your exams start kinda early. Here in Victoria, the LOTEs start their oral component in October, but the rest of the exams start in November and go on until the end of November... Well, we'll have more time to prepare and study, unlike you NSWers.
Hey, at least those "poor sods" have more time between each exam, I guess.

Sleep, I shall!
Ahh, yes... That happens to me as well.

Haha, yeah... But then that'll push the date I get my braces off to the 23rd of November or something... Ohh, yeah, I've heard that after you take your braces off, your teeth feel unbelievably slimy.

I did slightly better this time Such a stupid system. My worst essay got the highest mark and my best one got the lowest. Seriously. How did an essay with no quotes (from the text we were studying) get an 18 wtff. (My pro essay died on like 14. Evens out.)
Depends on how well you take the stress. If you're laid back and stuff. It's all the same. But if you get all tense and worried about your ATAR year 12 will probably be worse. But I think that a little tension is important to do well.
So tell me, how much studying have you done in the past few days?
Theoretically: 8 hours/day
Realistically: 4, maybe 5 hours?
What? Dont' tell me you actually follow your timeables?

Careless people, unite! And start reading questions!!

Nice. Yeah, they're a massive distraction. Until you get used to your teeth again. 1. You have a slight lisp, but less than when you first got them. 2. Teeth. Are. So. slippy. ugh.
Ohh, I see... Well apparently you do the prac in groups, but you take your own data or something...

This college is just a Community College, it's the most simplest way to go right out of high school, where I am transfering to is a University though..
English is the most horrible
Math comes a close second.
