Discussion the sealed power

recently i have been thinking about this theory i developed
what if the tattoos (dragon,fox,serpent,lion,goat,boar,grizzly) where seals that seal the power of the seven deadly sins and by the sacred weapons they can use a small fragment of their hidden power.
after i saw galan's fight with sins ,i'm sure that the sins doesn't stand any chance against the ten commandments not to forget that they already lost their power in the holy war and they should be far extremely stronger than that
so there must be a way they can increase their power to maximum .

Well, we know the tattoos are magical in nature but I don't see why the sins would allow merlin, who made the tattoos, or anyone else for that matter, to seal what would appear to be the vast majority of their power, assuming that the sealed portion would be enough to match the commandments.

The sins definitely need a significant power increase although the extent depends on each individual sin. I guess escanor at noon could not need the boost though, unless it is figuring out how to use his full power at all times. King's power depends on his own magical power and the sacred tree, I guess for him the issue would be figuring out how to draw more power from the tree itself. With meliodas I guess it depends on why exactly he lost his power to begin with. If it was age then he needs someone to restore his youth and only the goddess clan would be able to do that... If it was what merlin took from him then its a matter of her returning it. ALthough if it was that easy she would have probably returned it as soon as she saw how strong galan was. Well, considering meliodas' power seems to have been at its full during the danafor events it kinda seems like his power decreasing is somewhat of a recent event though.

Ban is a weird case. Against demons his immortality should at large not be a thing, presumably hellblaze can kill him eventually if it can already cause permanent scars. I guess it depends on his sacred treasure ability too... If it allows him to steal power quickly it could work as a way to fight demons.

what I noticed is the fact that King, Mel, Escanor and Ban have been shown to have different individual powerups. Mel is way more powerful when he uses his demonic ability. Ban's snatch is a massive power up with the bonus of weakening the enemy. King's power seems to go up depending on his emotions, but by a FAR more than Mel and Ban's emotions power those two up. With Escanor it's the time of the day that determines his powerlevel. Also noteworthy is the fact that all those power ups have massive downsides. With Gowther, Merlin and Diane they we don't know but they probably have too. Though with the mistery surrounding some of the sins (and I mean more than just their backstory) like Mel, Merlin and to an extent King, they may or may not have even more sources of power.

I believe the tattoos will be important in the future, but I don't think they act as a seal for the Sins.

Power up wise, the only two Sins I'm worried about are Ban and Diane. I don't know how they are going to get their power ups. Maybe The Fountain of Youth has other properties aside from eternal life? Something could probably influence it and allow Ban to power up? That'd be cool. Maybe Courechouse will allow Ban to siphon power from his allies without draining them, allowing him keep up?

As for Diane, maybe she is of Giant royalty, but because she was abandoned, she didn't inherit something that would have given her true power. Or maybe Diane is another case of someone being resurrected? What if this Matrona person she admires was someone from the past that was the strongest Giant and she is actually her reborn? It could be like Kurama from YuYu Hakusho when he transform into Yoko Kurama and the Matrona personality will take over, giving her more power.

Gowther is fine. He's been given medicine that's name implies it's keeping his spirit stat and, most likely, power stat at a certain level. As far as we know his upper limit might be pretty high.

I would hate it if Ban gets a power up because of the fountain. I'd rather see more of his skills when he's not letting the others attack him because he's immortal, for someone who has been introduced early, his usage of Snatch has been very limited. Of all the Sins he's the one I want to see the most in a serious fight with his ST, his fighting style is great.

I know the tattoos being power limiters has been an idea floating around. I honestly wouldn't really mind if that were the case. However, there hasn't been so much as a hint that it is. It's fair enough to say the Sins have been in dire enough situations already that they should have used it or even considered it. I understand there could be some chore or special task needed to release the limiter such as all 7 having to join hands or something power ranger style, but there hasn't been so much as a hint of internal dialogue suggesting that. That is why I have doubts and I can see discontent over it being an asspull if it suddenly is revealed later.

I also worry about Ban and Diane the most in terms of how they are going to achieve the power necessary to even challenge the Commandments. Even if Ban gets his ST, his snatch ability and ST ability still shouldn't make him anywhere near a match for a 26k+ level foe. I know Ban doesn't necessarily need to be 26k to pull out some hack power steal abilities, but he still needs to be close. As we saw with Threader and his hack Overpower ability, the sheer might of Galan's force and presence rendered it ineffective.

Still I can see a small possibility he could pull it off, albeit in a contrived situation. Ban would have to be in a really safe position close to a Commandment for a long time in order to steal a significant amount. I have a feeling his ST will make this a lot easier for him to do. He may have some difficulties even managing that level of power but maybe that's where his immortality would come in.
