Sheep king/Queen coronation happen every #100 sheep game.. So whoever wins the sheep #100 will be the king or queen of the game until the next sheep coronation and will be added to the Hall of Fame.

Here is a thread to alert you to the start of new Sheep rounds
For anyone who plays this game: please follow this thread to receive warnings when new rounds are starting

Anyone making a round, please post a message to this thread when you do, so all prospective players will know to send a list (if you forget to do so, I will try to remember to do so for you).

This thread is currently just a test, to save on people having to go on mass tagging sprees - if the test is successful, we can keep on using it.
If the test fails (other than being extremely disappointed) then nothing will be lost and we can go back to ignoring it and tagging people like there's no tomorrow.

*Duma(left) and Mila(right)

There's some very interesting answers and perspectives in the spoiler tags.

1. They are both extremes, but which of the two gods' ideologies do you agree with more?

A. Duma (Gryffindor, Lady pompom, Linali, Xadyu, Asako, Emperor Spriggan, Crescent Jinx, Organizized, Arjuna, Farfalla, Zirconium) +11
B. Mila (Lambu, Brandish, Juviii, Vandred, zimbardo, Holt, Demonspeed, Vici) +8

- Damn, Mila took a way bigger piece of land than Duma, that agreement was rigged.

Both mindsets are indeed extreme but as it seems... Mila is like an overprotective parent and Duma a very strict one.

I would probably side with Mila if there existed clauses and some kind of law in that ideal paradise, since such a perfect "Eden" (where people would have everything without problems) would mean a wayward and selfish population that only wants to please themselves in a rather near future.

Duma's vision means to tell "create your own paradise yourself" which is harsh but also holds a better result in the long run. I dont agree with the pain inducing doctrine though, hardships must come naturally in order to make its process meaningful and not to be counterproductive (isolation, hate...)

So with all their flaws I would side with Mila in this situation.
I've always found it beautiful, that people, who have nothing, know how to enjoy small things and sad, that people, who have everything, often don't appreciate, how lucky they are. Philosophy mode: off.
Ah, another story Sheep where you have to role-play a slightly thick character. My favourite :hee

I'd rather have everyone share an equal, peaceful happiness than only a select few being able to attain it by the freedom of others being trampled upon.
Feck hardships. I'd say this is identical to a parent letting his kid struggle on his own despite having the means to allow said kid leave comfortably. If there's no hardship, you don't need to be stronger in the first place :nerdy
Mila cause a reasons :hurr

2. As the future emperor/empress of Rigel you feel like you should maybe take the initiative in the meeting and present your own solution to the problem. What do you suggest?

A. Ask the kingdom of Zofia for help again. Try harder to explain the poor situation Rigel is facing and all the consequences the famine will have for the people. But begging their king for help again, after being turned down before, would be very unlikely to succeed, and an even bigger wound to Rigel‘s honor which may never recover.
(Lambu, Vici) +2
B. Invade Zofia. You are confident Rigel‘s army is stronger than Zofia‘s and would win a war against them, but this would be a violation of the Divine Accord mentioned in the religious scriptures.
(Juviii, Arjuna) +2
C. Ask Duma for aid. If he agrees he could easily have the land provide more food. If he agrees.
(Lady pompom, Brandish, Xadyu, Asako, Holt, Emperor Spriggan, Crescent Jinx, Farfalla, Zirconium, Demonspeed) +10
D. Make use of forbidden methods which force fast crops out of the land, which would save the situation temporarily for a year but would irreparably ruin the poor soil even further.
E. Sacrifice a half of the country‘s population by rationing the remaining stockpiles of food among the other select half. That half should be able to live off the stockpiles until the next year, which will hopefully have a better yield of crops.
(Vandred, zimbardo) +2
F. Don’t suggest anything and wait for others to start talking. All you can come up with has it‘s downsides and there would be many disagreeing with each one.
(Gryffindor, Linali, Organizized) +3

I must assume I was educated to be strong right? Then "F" is out of the question. "C" would be pointless since we know the nature of Duma, he wont help Rigel even if they are in dire problems.
"D" is self destructive, definitely not the nature of a country educated to survive and overcome their terrible fate.

So its either "A", "B" or "E".

E: Would mean rebellion and coup d'etat, there's no way half of the population would surrender to their fate and die for the sake of others, even more with their independent nature. So Civil War? No please, "E" discarded

B: Attacking Zofia would be the best course of action on paper, since we know they have resources. But breaking the Divine Accord, in a world where we know of the existence of the gods, could prove fatal and create a conflict of great magnitude, far from human reach.

A: The weak way, but also the serene one. We know Zofians hold disregard for anything that doesn't mean benefit but there's still a chance they reach an agreement. Though if they refuse once more B would probably be the only way.

So "A" it is.
violence is always the answer
If rationing food would lead to half the population dying just for the other half to reach next year, would that mean the whole population would die in six months? :oh
Sounds like the situation is quite dire already. Stockpiling in order to allow the peasantry to reach the next crop season would be an absolute requirement.
Mila promised her people a life of no strife and constant happiness - to achieve this, she'd have to intervene should you attack. Duma has already agreed with Mila not to take an active role in her lands. As soon as your troops cross the border, it's likely that you'd cause misery for someone, therefore Mila would intervene, therefore you'd get fucked.
It's unlikely that the kingdom of Zofia will supply help, not only because they've never provided help before, but also because they probably don't understand why anyone would ever need help in the first place [or what help is] as everything has always been provided for them (or else they'd not always be happy with no hardship at all).
Duma is also unlikely to help, he made tough for you on purpose, he'd probably tell you to stop moaning and fix it yourself.
D is also a bad choice, as surviving one year only to be even more screwed the next is hardly a good idea.
F seems pretty bad also, as if there was a good choice to make someone should probably have already suggested it.
Therefore, the best way to survive, out of all those choices, is E - it isn't like everyone wouldn't be screwed anyway, should you not sacrifice them.
I guess this seems to be the most reasonable. For the others A- hate requesting for things twice. You're even more likely to be turned down than the first time. B- seems out of it too. Potentially invoking the wrath of 2 gods can't be a good idea. D- probably the worst idea. I plan ahead more often than not, so this is a complete no for me. E- so Thanos XD. In a way this is reasonable too, but completely unfair. In truth life actually works this way more often than not. And since I'm the one making this call, I'd rather not go for this means. Besides, imagine we used a random selection, and my family or even me happen to be in the abadoned half...what next? XD. F- as a leader, it's good to get others opinion, but not very good to seem clueless. Although, it's not bad either. This is an ideal option...basically an easy way out. But I didn't pick it over C because at least C is a start while this option could potentially not even bring any ideas
surprise surprise, I don’t like making big decisions. :catshrug
I was wondering why he hadn't helped at all with such powers. Makes people hard working but doesn't even grant them a fertile land? Thought about A two... These guys are assholes.

3. Is there anything you want to say or ask before the meeting is concluded?

A. Ask the emperor to reconsider and to not go to war with Zofia, saying it would be a bad idea and lead to even more deaths.
(Gryffindor, Lady pompom, Vandred, Xadyu, Holt, Emperor Spriggan, Crescent Jinx, Farfalla, Zirconium, Demonspeed, Vici) +11
B. Question the truth of the high priest's words and his intentions, although there's no reason for him to lie so you may just be wasting everyone's time with pointless questions.
(Lambu, Juviii, Linali, Asako, zimbardo, Organizized) +6
C. Assert yourself by openly asking the emperor to be put in charge of the invasion army.
(Arjuna) +1
D. There's nothing you wish to say, you let the meeting conclude.

"check if the priests info is correct, then check if Duma is in the tower, if those are fine, demand aid from a weaker Zofia." - Brandish +1

Questioning the truth in the Priest's words would be a given, even more with the convenience that represents.
never trust priests
Veeeery convenient moment for such revelation, isn't it? Also, according to my experience with history and fantasy, suspecting the priests is never a waste of time :-_-
I'm not fond of the idea of breaking a divine accord due to the words of a priest stating that one of the gods is "missing" (as if that would justify breaking the accord in the first place), but starting a full-scale invasion of a continent - even a prosperous, poorly-defended one - while you lack the basic necessary supplies to sustain both your army and the rest of the population back home is not a bad idea, it's a terrible one.
There are plenty of reasons for him to lie. Sacrifice him first. If he was right, he'll hardly be missed.
naturally will prefer to try other things first .violence/war though sometimes inevitable isn't the way to go if possible, and in this case we are the attackers. Would rather we don't .
I don’t trust religious people. :catshrug

4. But first you need to decide how to assume your command and whether to partake in the battles yourself. Your army has foot soldiers, cavalry and pegasi for air battles as well. After thinking it over for a while, you decide:

A. You will be a strategist only, and give your units your commands from the rear.
(Lambu, Linali, Farfalla, Zirconium) +4
B. You will ride on a war horse and lead the charge of your army with the cavalry while giving orders depending on the situation.
(Lady pompom, Brandish, Xadyu, Emperor Spriggan, Arjuna, Demonspeed) +6
C. You will ride on a pegasus, flying through the air and only swooping down every now and then to fight when you feel like it, and otherwise dodge arrows and deal with the Zofian pegasi while commanding from above.
(Gryffindor, Juviii, Vandred, Asako, zimbardo, Holt, Crescent Jinx, Organizized, Vici) +9

- Im not suicidal and dont have a liking for battle so I would probably design the attacks from the rear, without entering combat unless its highly necessary.
Hey, I'm going to be empress, I can't risk my precious life, right? :3c
Jokes aside, that's the best option imo. This way, I can see whole battlefield and if something went wrong, I can react imidiately by giving proper orders. No one said, that I cannot join the battle, if I feel/need it.
Normally, I'd have the general command the whole army in the rear, which is the most sensible decision. However, this being the setting that it is, the general would be an exceptional fighter able to dispatch waves of opponents by himself with little effort (the same being true for the enemy), so he'd be better employed leading on the front.

But flying on a pegasus :zomg
Best view to strategise from. No point risking myself when there's plenty of chaff to sacrifice instead. Also, should Mila not be gone, it'd be easy to high-tail out of there - before she lays down the law.
As cool it seems in movies, I don't particularly fancy the commander being directly in the heat. He is a priority target, a stray arrow or otherwise could hit him, and the tide of the war could completely shift. Plus there's possiblity of his troops having to worry about protecting him- not because he is incompetent but because he IS the commander. So I prefer a strategic approach. However, it's also not fair for the commander to remain comfortable at the rear while directing others towards their potential death. So this option seems like a good enough in-between
The only answer :blush

For Lambu :blai
because flying on a pegasus sounds awesome and why would I pick anything else? :catshrug
I feel like A would make the others disrespect me considering the strength of my uncle and with C it would be hard to know what is happening on land. Though maybe the opposite is also true.

5. What will be at the core of your speech?

A. Reminding them of their families and the famine, and that the war must be won for their families' sake.
(Gryffindor, Lambu, Lady pompom, Vandred, Xadyu, Asako, Holt, Emperor Spriggan, Crescent Jinx, Organizized, Farfalla, Zirconium) +12
B. Reminding them of their faith. Mention things like this invasion being completely in line with Duma's teachings, and taking advantage of the situation to attack Zofia is exactly what he wants his children to do.
(Brandish, Vici) +2
C. Reminding them of Zofia's riches due to Mila's blessings, and of the unimaginable amounts of food and drinks awaiting them there.
(Demonspeed) +1
D. Reminding them of their enmity towards Zofia. They refused Rigel's calls for help despite having more than enough to share without it affecting them.
(zimbardo) +1
E. Reminding them of their strength. Due to Duma's teachings each of them is a lot stronger and more mentally prepared for conflict than the Zofian soldiers. They will be swept away with ease.
(Juviii, Linali, Arjuna) +3

Can't I just recite Aragorn's speech? <_>

I would definitely emphasize the need to win that war, in order for Rigel and all its inhabitants to survive. It would capture a wider sector of the audience since they are still humans... with people and things to protect.
Pretty self-explanatory. I'd rather avoid suggesting this war was in accordance with some divine will when the only hint about our god's intentions seems to be an express interdiction against this idea...
Best not to remind them of Mila, nor of the accord. Families are good, but you don't want to encourage desertion. Also, Duma's teachings included not breaking the accord (again, best not to remind about that).
That leaves D and E - and D encourages more hatred, therefore the potential for more vicious troops (less likely to flee, might put more effort into fighting, etc.)
I think the best pep talks are when your can centralise the person's prioritity. Why war? What's the benefit? What's at the stake? What's the loss? Best strengths come from survival and love imo- both which apply to this option. Desire can fade with time, and morality or justification is fickle. It can be second guessed. But when your very survival depends on it, then we can see something astonishing
A, although I do think D might be the most effective pep-talk.
" Regardless of which approach you take with your speech all the soldiers are a lot more motivated than before. "

This game sucks my choices doesn't even affect the game and the world :kappa

6. Once a war is started you can't "pause" it, and since your army is the one taking the initiative and invading another country, it is imperative for you to get yourself as big of an advantage as possible until the main army in the castle can react. With that, and everything you know about Zofia in mind, you have to decide on how to start the invasion. All options have their pros and cons, different risks, gains and losses.

A. Cross the border and attack the northern fortresses one by one. Your army is big and strong, and you should be able to overwhelm the Zofian army stationed there and establish a good foothold in the northern forts of Zofia. You will have Rigel at your back and if there's need to retreat, resupply or ask for reinforcements the route is straightforward.
But due to your army's big size you move slower, so by the time you've taken the second fortress Zofia's main army should have mobilized and reached the 3rd fortress, which could lead to the 3rd fortress being much harder to take or even lead to a stalemate with your army unable to take the 3rd fort and the Zofian army unable to abandon it.
(Lady pompom, Vici) +2

B. As you're crossing the border, split up your army in 3 smaller armies, each one headed for one of the 3 fortresses. Unlike option A here you will most likely succeed in taking all 3 forts before the Zofian main army moves out, but your total losses will be bigger due to your split-up armies attacking the forts simultaneously. You also can't be at all 3 battles at once, so the success of the other two armies and the losses depend on the individual soldiers' strength as well as on the two generals you appoint to lead the two armies in your stead. With having all 3 fortresses in the north your foothold is better than in A, but you have more losses.
(Lambu, Linali, Vandred, Asako, zimbardo, Organizized, Arjuna, Demonspeed) +8

C. Ignore the fortresses and march straight for Zofia's castle and capital as quickly as possible, possibly starting the war with the deciding battle. Winning this battle would put the capital and castle under your control, demotivate all remaining soldiers or even cause them to surrender. But if the battle drags out too long the armies from the fortresses could come attacking from your back and you could find yourself surrounded and take heavy losses, or even lose the battle, without any ways to retreat. High risk but high reward option, which would require you to show how good of a commander and fighter you really are.
(Gryffindor, Xadyu, Emperor Spriggan, Farfalla) +4

D. Take boats with your whole army to the southern region and the southern islands. There's barely any soldiers in the south to oppose you, so you could start the invasion with easily taking almost half of the country. You could have your soldiers pillage from the many villages in the south for more supplies and their entertainment which would further raise your troops morale and condition, while having them march at the castle and capital from the south which is a more favorable attacking position compared to going from the north.
But there is a chance you could lose the element of surprise with messengers from the south alerting the castle to your presence before your army gets there, negating the advantage from attacking from the south. And while your soldiers likely wouldn't mind attacking defenseless villages and destroying their lives, you're unsure whether your own conscience could live with that approach, if for honor alone.
(Brandish, Zirconium) +2

E. Split up your army, one half crossing the border and the other half taking ships to the south, proceeding like a mix of A/B and D. If things go well on the northern side, 2 or 3 forts could fall and you could encircle the castle together with the army from the south. But due to only sending half of your army through the border they will have even more losses against the forts, even more if you split that army even further to quickly take all 3 forts. Additionally you also can't go with both armies. Going with the one attacking the forts gives them your leadership, but you can't regulate the ones going to the south, as they could spend too much time enjoying themselves in the villages and join up with the other army too late. While if you go to the south the army attacking the north could be off much worse without your lead.
(Juviii, Holt, Crescent Jinx) +3

- E doesn't seem a bad route, but in a conflict of this magnitude its better to stay grouped. Attacking from the south would be alright if we are going for a surprise attack but if we are already attacking from the north reducing your numbers just to place your hope in the enemy's incompetence could even mean your lose.
So B seems like the the right call, fast and surprise attacks to take useful territory and keep contact with your home kingdom. It may mean more deaths per battle, but it would also mean a much shorter war (we are supposed to end it as fast as possible since the situation is precarious).
If I'll manage to take them by surprise, there's a chance, that they'll give up quickly, because they won't be prepared for a siege. Once I'll have 3 fortress with a supplies, I can think of enemy gathering an army :nod
Exploiting the surprise effect to its maximum potential sounds like the best idea. Running straight to the capital (which lies in the middle of the continent, apparently) and being able to take it before our army is surrounded from all directions sounds unlikely and unnecessarily risky, while starting from the south leaves us unable to start sending supplies back to the homeland. Gaining a large and stable foothold in the north, essentially expanding our southern border to gain land we sorely need, is what I'd start with.
The people from the south have likely never fought anyone ever before. Having everything provided for them, there's nothing to aim for with conquest. Living a life free of hardships suggests that they've never fought with anyone ever before, not even an angry war of words.
Sure, I may lose more troops by splitting my army, but losses are going to be minimal anyway - it'll be like grown men fighting 3 year-olds.
I had a different option, but it's pretty similar to this one so I go for it. Also, I will go with the army to conquer the northern fortresses. The othed half should be able to subdue the south easily. Probably we would take 2/3 fortresses before zofia reins arrivs but we'd already have a big advantage in the war with the south side conquered and troops circling round. Also, it's much more unlikely the troops on the south will lose sight of the bigger picture that fast XD. If they do then clearly I didn't do a good job at the talk earlier :p
Aim for the heart of the enemy, spare time and resources spent in capturing the other fortresses. It's the safest option imo.
I trust in my armies! :arf
Split my army but only to attack the northen and middle fortress? Maybe it's too similar to B?

7. What do you decide?

A. Accept Desaix' terms, ally with him and work towards his rule being accepted, as well as getting as much out of the deal in favor of Rigel as possible. The war is thus over, and you can stay stationed in the north while sending out messengers to the emperor of your deeds.
(Lambu, Brandish, Xadyu, Asako, Holt, Organizized, Zirconium, Demonspeed, Vici) +9
B. Accept Desaix' terms just like in A, but you have no intentions to ally with him, on the contrary you'll look for the first opportunity to stab him in the back, figuratively and eventually literally as well. The war will only look over, but you will resume as soon as the opportunity is right and take Zofia, but you'll need to exercise a lot of patience for this.
(Gryffindor, Juviii, Linali, Vandred, zimbardo, Crescent Jinx, Arjuna ) +7
C. Decline his offer, these petty schemes are below your honor as a commander and fighter. You also don't want to wait, you want to take over the castle and Zofia even if it costs the lives of the majority of your army.

- Im highly tempted of chosing B, that guy should just die. :fan
But this development only means winning the war without taking the life out of my army so its highly welcome. Then if something goes wrong I may change my mind. :evil
The guy is betraying the king and general he's been with for decades, what guarantess he'd not betray me too...
And I'm sure this asshole feel exactly the same about me...
As the best way to minimize losses, the traitor can go along with his schemes while we can profit from the country's instability, with virtually no drawbacks for our own side. Just for the record, the opportunity to "repay" him would be as soon as the king is assassinated and their army starts falling apart, but apparently our protagonist doesn't agree. :e3
For sure. The guy is a snake, best to use then discard.
War was never really my first plan so this is rather perfect. Also, the whole purpose was securing food for the citizens, it's not as though there was any particular interest in conquering Zofia. Although desaix is a traitor, but I'll leave him to handle things on his own. At this point, not like my hands are clean with all the bloodshed from the war on both sides so not in a position to judge his morals
As if Id team up with enemy scum :8C
Sounds too good to be true and a bit worried about the execution, but it sounds better.

8. You start to feel heavily restless, as you need to make a sudden decision in an unexpected situation. What do you do?

A. Decide to hold the fortress and take on the Deliverance army. Normally, under these conditions with the two army sizes you should have the advantage, but it could also be a very close battle if that hero is even half as good as you. As you're fighting with your back to a wall you can't fully ensure the safety of your fiance or your own, and if you lose the battle then that will be the end for you, even if the rest of the Rigelian army managed to destroy the Deliverance afterwards.
(Lady pompom, Vandred, Emperor Spriggan, Arjuna, Demonspeed, Vici) +6

B. Give more than half of the fort's soldiers to Desaix and have him hold the fortress in your stead together with the Zofian soldiers he has, while you, your fiance and some soldiers retreat towards the other two northern fortresses. If he succeeds, great. If he fails he will at least have weakened the Deliverance, you will have gotten rid of him, and you can regroup with the rest of your soldiers to destroy the Deliverance safely afterwards. While losing some men and some of your pride in the process as you retreat and lose land.
(Lambu, Brandish, Linali, Organizized, Zirconium) +5

C. Take all the soldiers from the fortress, along with Desaix' men, and intercept the Deliverance army before they reach the fortress. This way your fiance can escape, any tricks they may have had for taking the fortress wouldn't apply in a field battle, and the battle would be different from defending a castle since both armies attack each other instead of one defending. If you fail you can still retreat and save your life while abandoning the rest of your army.
(Gryffindor, Juviii, Xadyu, Asako, zimbardo, Holt, Crescent Jinx, Farfalla) +8

- Well, there he goes: dead :cookiehand

Now seriously, that situation screams defeat. Half the army os Zofia against an unprepared ration? And they have a powerful leader and tactician? The option should be to weaken them and escape to regroup so B looks the less risky.
Once again, the one that sounds like the most sound tactical choice. I'd be curious to learn how the resistance group manages to defeat an army which supposedly outclasses them in every respect, even numbers and battlefield advantage, but something fishy must be going on behind the scenes :wooo
seems like the best option. A and B don't seem ideal, while this strengthens my numbers and chances without putting any of the captured fortresses at risk of loss
Not B because Desaix is incompetent and considering the number of supporters that the Deliverance has, leaving the castle seems even riskier to me. It's better to have my fiancee close and I can't really abandon my soldiers after all this time, can I? :scry

9. What will you do here?

A. You assume command of all soldiers from the second fortress and move out towards the first fortress. But you don't join up with the army inside the first fortress, instead you have your army stay in the shadows of the nearby woods. As soon as the Deliverance starts attacking the fort and starts to move the fight inside of it you will ambush them from behind with your army. They will be stuck between two armies that together more than double their size. After that it'll be simple to pick them off one by one, with nowhere for them to run.
(Gryffindor, Lambu, Juviii, Linali, Vandred, Asako, zimbardo, Holt, Crescent Jinx, Organizized, Arjuna, Farfalla, Zirconium, Demonspeed) +14

B. You join together the armies of both fortresses under your command and station them all inside that fortress to defend. You will let them push into the fortress, making them think they're winning the fight, then surprise them with the additional army waiting inside for them.
(Lady pompom, Brandish, Xadyu) +3

C. You send smaller squads of soldiers to attack the nearby villages and set them on fire. Once the Deliverance army reaches the crossroads between two villages and the fortress, they will surely try to split their forces to save both villages like the goodwilled fools they are. Meanwhile the rest of your army waits nearby one of the villages and attack the halved army trying to save it. After that half has been defeated you directly move onto the other half and defeat them as well. What happens to the villages or to the squads you send out to attack the villages is none of your concern as long as you win the fight in the end.
(Emperor Spriggan, Vici) +2

- Wow, Im kind of a jerk in this story aren't I? :XD

A, classic battle strategy. Sure they could see it coming but they are the ones being straightforward.
And you say they've foreseen it? Suspicious...
A good, old-fashioned ambush in the woods :hee
A or B seem ideal . But I like the idea of attacking from both sides .more confusion and chaos for the resistance
Because setting villages on fire is just not cool. And an ambush from the forest is cooler than from waiting inside the fort. Take the Robb Stark route!
B is too basic. C is too cruel.

10. You absolutely have to ask and beg your uncle for one more chance. But how?

A. Ask the emperor to allow you to come with him as a soldier. If not by leadership, you will prove your worth by defeating enemies in combat, and you especially promise to bring the head of their leader.
(Arjuna) +1
B. Ask the emperor to allow you to come with him as an advisor and assisting-strategist. This may be the most shameless request, because this would allow the emperor to restore your honor by claiming you played a big part in the victory regardless of if you did or not.
(Gryffindor, Emperor Spriggan, Crescent Jinx) +3
C. Ask the emperor to give you command of a small part of the army. You want to assist him and the main army with a small force and completely show off your leadership capabilities to everyone.
(Lambu, Brandish, Linali, Vandred, Xadyu, Asako, Organizized, Zirconium, Demonspeed, Vici) +10
D. Ask the emperor to give you a full second chance. You want to take control of the whole army again instead of him having to do it, protect the border and take Zofia, but this time you ensure him you will make no mistakes and succeed. Meanwhile he can stay in the castle and await the message of your success.
(Lady pompom, Juviii, zimbardo, Holt, Farfalla) +5

- Im also going to fail right? Im getting the feel that Im playing the villain in this story.

Anyway, D would be disrespectful for my uncle (at least in a warrior's mindset) so a way to restore my honor would be for me to act "on my own" and mark the difference, regardless of the cost.
This one is fine, not hurting my pride much and not making me fully responsible this time. There's something wrong with these Zofians...
A proper Band of the Hawk :hee
I hate losing XD and this actually seems like a war I can win
C seems like the most redeeming option while still not being too shameless.

11. Due to that, this may as well just be the final battle. You can't allow yourself to fail here. Thinking there has to be a traitor among your most trusted generals and subordinates, you cast away all off them and had them stay at the castle. Even your fiance. Now there's nothing that can be in your way. Just two big armies clashing in a wide open field. But of course there's still a lot for you to decide in how to start the battle.

A. Take a defensive approach and let them come to you. Line up your infantry with shields as well as all the archers behind them. The cavalry stays in the back, just far enough for them to not be hit by any early arrows but close enough to join in the fight as soon as the enemy frontline has advanced and started the fight. The pegasi will fly out to meet their fliers and attack only reactively when their fliers attempt to do something, or when there's a good opening within the enemy infantry.
(Lambu, Linali, zimbardo, Emperor Spriggan, Organizized) +5

B. Take an offensive approach and attack them, testing how prepared they truly are. All forces attack in unison, led by the infantry, with the cavalry and fliers following up right away. The archers actively aim for their fliers to prevent them disrupting the backline.
(Xadyu, Demonspeed) +2

C. Take a mixed approach, switching between offense and defense. The core of this strategy is trying to lure the enemies into an unfavorable position and cause their formations to be disrupted, letting them pass through an intentional weakspot in your formation just to follow up with an offensive charge immediately. This approach allows for a lot of mindgames with the opposing leader and different strategies and reactions from both, and now that there's no chances left for a traitor you are confident enough to be able to outwit their "hero".
(Gryffindor, Lady pompom, Asako, Holt, Crescent Jinx, Arjuna, Zirconium) +7

D. Call out the enemy leader to a duel. You are confident that you are the strongest warrior on this battlefield. It's a high-risk high-reward option for both leaders, as winning the duel and killing the other leader would almost ensure your win, but the loser forfeits his life. If he doesn't accept that could be seen as cowardice and demotivate his army or motivate yours.
(Brandish, Juviii, Vandred, Farfalla, Vici) +5

- Taking high risks in this moment would be foolish, even more with the more than possible presence of a traitor in your inner camp. C looks appealing, but also shitty if you make a single mistake.
Since previously attack didn't help, this time I'll be in defence and react to their moves :nod
-------------------------------
Ayfkm? Lost? ME?! I hate you
A straightforward fight to the death, nothing better to reclaim one's honour :hee
but Gry you're setting me up to lose here :twitch
(What! Why leave my fiancee with possible traitors! I am dumb :epcifacepalm)B: I have been defensive enough and D wouldn't really show leadership skills.

Man, I have always some kind of advantage but I lose. What the hell? The Deliverance is supported by Mila's powers, aren't they? TFW Mila was your fiancee all along.

12. You feel that your part in this story is coming to an end. How do you finish it?

A. Make an ambush with the remaining soldiers. Since the hero could only come through the tunnel with a small force of a dozen men at best, you are actually rather even. You put in the last of your efforts to try and defeat the man who brought you to ruin. You know you will likely fail, but at this point death in combat is the fate you accept to most.
(Lady pompom, Juviii, Vandred, Xadyu, Holt, Crescent Jinx, Farfalla) +7
B. You surrender to him. But you are a war criminal, being executed or imprisoned is the most likely outcome. Even if he shows you kindness, what kind of life awaits you? Living off of his pity?
(Arjuna) +1
C. You flee to Duma Tower, and from there either go into hiding with your fiance in some village or go to the port, take a boat and leave the continent. But will your mind ever recover from all that has happened and let you live in peace?
(Lambu, Brandish, Organizized, Zirconium, Demonspeed) +5
D. The altar of Duma in front of you feels your despair and craving for power and let's you communicate with your god Duma. You hear a voice that offers you the power to seize all your seemingly lost dreams, but in exchange wants you to sacrifice everything you have left. Including your fiance. You remember that she may have been the traitor, and agree. Maybe Duma's Blessing will save you and Rigel.
(Gryffindor, Linali, Asako, zimbardo, Emperor Spriggan, Vici) +6

Hold up a minute...

So even after a second chance, the result is still defeat
- Damn... this is tragic. So I really am the "villain" that had his hopes shattered.
In that situation I guess I would just escape the tower and do the best I could do all this time: survive and protect my loved one. Shameful, but its also the last thing I have a hold of and I would rather preserve it.

D sounds like what happens in the actual game though... I really am the jerk of this story.
:handgun
That last option of seizing power by sacrifing many things kinda resembles Zahard from Tower of God... :grumble And he's likely one of the supposed villains.
Screw it all, like hell I'm gonna loose to some rookie, who appeared out of nowhere. I don't evel feel remorse for sacrifising my fiance - if I had one, he wouldn't be a pussy like the one in the story :XD
like I said, I hate losing .the last option is even worse, sacrifice my fiance and everything. How dare you! xD
This sheep made me want to do this:
Because I like living. Take the Tyrion Lannister route!

So, the results first. The winner of this huge sheep 71 is....

Thanks to everyone for playing! 19 players is more than I expected, but even better is that many told me they enjoyed the story :zomg Was very glad to hear that, much appreciated. For those that are interested, here's some more explanations to the story as well as outcomes(has spoilers to the story of course):

The story is based on the story of the game Fire Emblem Echoes. At first I thought to just write the story as it‘s told in the game, from the protagonist‘s perspective, the leader of the Deliverance. But then I noticed that it‘d be a lot more interesting if told from the view of the character Berkut, the Rigelian prince you played in the sheep(who could also be a female princess in the sheep, why not). He‘s a tragic character, as you could tell from the sheep. He just followed his duties as a prince to help his people who suffered from the famine. Though he‘s no innocent flower, a very prideful person who was too focused on winning and being the strongest, as was with many Rigelians due to Duma‘s ways.
He has a great battle theme though:

As for the other things mentioned in the sheep but not resolved:

-The priest at the start was one of the two main villains, but he wasn‘t directly the cause of everything. Duma was the main villain. Both Duma and Mila, despite having most attributes of a god(immortality, near almighty powers of creating life and influencing the land) their endless life would eventually cause their minds to decay and go mad. Which already happened to Duma by the start of the story, and Mila was showing several signs too. That's why Mila created two people who would be destined to save the continent from both of the gods and remove them, turning it into a continent ruled by the people and not the gods. One of them wasn't present in the story(as that person never meets Berkut), while the other was the Deliverance leader.

-The priest of course also knew of the gods decaying with him being a very faithful servant of Duma. He was extremely devoted to Duma to the point that he'd even sacrifice people to prolong Duma's mind. He started the war mainly so Rigel wins and they find those 2 people created by Mila, which he'd both sacrifice to Duma in hopes that with their souls he would be cured, or at least remain sane for more time.

-Mila's disappearence was due to Duma attacking the Temple of Mila in Zofia, breaking the accord. It gets more detailed and complicated here, but basically Mila was sealed away(can't kill her because she's immortal, so that's the only other option to get rid of her). Basically eternal slumber. But in the end of the story, at Duma's Tower, both of the destined heroes meet up and together manage to defeat the priest and seal away Duma as well. Both Duma and Mila are divine dragons, so in his dragon form in the end Duma looked like this:

-The two heroes had the ability to turn back time, given to them by Mila before she was sealed. Though it only let them turn back time by a very small amount, so the only use for it was during the war/in battles. Which is the reason why the Deliverance couldn't be defeated by ambushes/tricks in question 9.

-So the fiance wasn't a traitor, as there wasn't a traitor. Just some red herrings here and there I put in to see how it'd affect people playing and to see how many would sacrifice the fiance at the end. Which is the canon thing that happened in the game, Berkut sacrificed his fiance for Duma's aid to defeat the hero, but he still fails.

I think that were most of the relevant things I had to expand upon further.
