Just watched the first 2 episodes of Legends. Pretty good show so far. Shame there's only 2 out.

Just saw the first episode and it was... weird. Not bad, just really weird. I found it entertaining, but I doubt it'll last for more than one season.

TRUE BLOOD season finale was a major disappointment, since I felt like there wasn't enough closure--it was very mediocre at best.

The whole season had no point. No vilain, no major scenaristic point, just empty

First and second seasons were watchable. As a whole, TB is a major disappointment. It became so cheesy. Anyway, I watched this season in FFWD mode.

The pilot episode for The Hand of God was really good! I totally recommend watching it.

started watching Penny Dreadful ,im 6 episodes in .i was hooked from the very first moment . everything is very well done and all but i must say Eva Green's acting is just breath-takingly amazing

Yep, Eva Green is amazing. I liked Penny Dreadful, though it had its negative sides.

all i can say as a negative is it has a rather slow pace but watching Eva Green covers it up for me . i can make a better judgement once i finish the first season

Eva Green is so natural when playing a bitch that you have to wonder if she isn't one in real life ... It's not just Penny Dreadful, it's also 300 or Dark Shadows or Camelot. That's a bitch strike

I always thought Eva Green was guilty of over-acting, to be honest. Not only that, aside from Casino Royale and maybe one or two other things I've seen, she's essentially the same character in everything she does. Not a lot of range.

as i said ,havent seen her other peformances but it is perfect in penny dreadful . its a poetic and theatrical realm so it doesnt feel like over-acting at all

I've only seen The Dreamers and Kingdom of Heaven out of those. Again, not left with a sense of her having much range. It seems that most of her recent work is pretty much the same character copy and pasted.

Well, with her very distinctive and peculiar face and voice, it's obvious she gets type-casted a lot... and imo there's no shame in it... Eva Green probably wouldn't have been such a great lead for Homeland an Claire Danes probably wouldn't have been this convincing in Penny Dreadful.
Kevin Spacey and Sean Bean are both great actors, but if the casting for Eddard Stark and Frank Underwood would have been switched, it wouldn't have worked this well in both shows.
That doesn't have to mean than they can't act on a wide range... it's just that their appearance make them predestined for certain kinds of roles... and how they portray those characters is more important to me in the end.

it was a helluva 1st episode for a cop thriller.
it really had a dick tracy feel to it.
