When i saw Nadal in pain trying to pose for the trophy/his back issue flaring up mid match...i realized his body isn't going to last /that/ much longer. (He actually had an easy draw till the quarters..no one to push him at all). For once the guy looked Human, much like fed started to around age 27-28. He won RG but this year has still been a struggle. Nishikori kicked his ass on clay and almost prevented him from winning a single title in the clay court swing before his back gave out. The losses to dolgo/ALMAGRO (holy shit), and the amount of people able to push him these days shouldn't be forgotten.

Gulbis had the ability, but not the motivation. He's rich, good looking etc. He said being outside the top 100 and seeing guys in the top 100 who in his words "can't play tennis" motivated him. he realized "there's still time left"

@Atobe, @Hardy, I don't really see it. Bouchard doesn't have the stereotypical look of the female players we've seen for a while, but she's not really hot or attractive, in my opinion.

Dude, she's 19...I know that's legal, but...Anyway, I hadn't thought of her as attractive in the first place. She's not ugly, but she's perhaps merely pretty.

With Nadal winning RG, the question for the last few years has been about his fitness and how his legs can cope with the pressure he puts on them. I myself believe he can win another 2 at least. I'd like him to reach 10 before he retires. That number and I'll be happy with and he'll also be only 2(?) behind Federer; assuming he doesn't win any other Slams before RG 2015.

And about Gulbis; he has been around for a quite a number of years now. I would say I'm rather disappointed that it's taken this much time for him to break into the top 10. That's to say I had seen his potential early on and I think it's taken him a lot longer to realise them that I would've thought. Also, this speaks to the difficulty of cracking that men's top 10 and the ability of the players within that.

He should easily be able to win at least next year's. I think that with luck and good opponents, Nadal can last for a while. If he's really pushed in a number of matches this year or next year, his career could drastically shorten.

Yes, Gulbis has been. Gulbis partied a lot and didn't train regularly, but I think that if he'd been focused from the beginning, he could've been in the top 10 years ago. I don't know where he'll end up by the end of his career, but he can definitely use his big game to good effect at Wimbledon. Yeah, it's a lot harder to crack the men's top 10 than the women's top 10.

It came from a Minority Rule punishment and I never changed it. Anyway, zell, I bet you wish you were as jacked as CR7.

I usually don't find female tennis players attractive (Sharapova has a pretty good butt, Lisicki too..but that's all)....but i think she's pretty cute and it's nice seeing a new face.

Idk i really feel like it's Nadals last RG or that next year will have to be a colossal effort. The young guys will only get better, and he'll only get older.

I'd probably agree with the men's choice.

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Serena but I think there may be another female winner this year. Hopefully Wozniacki will get far in the tournament.

Yeah, at least that far. She had a pretty tournament at Eastbourne but lost to Kerber in the semis, so hopefully she can show that same form.

Men's side i have /no/ idea. And i like that I don't lol. Federer/Murray/Djokovic looked quite efficient. Was great to see Federer volleying. Nadal looked vulnerable...3 hour first round match and such. Quite a toss up. Djokovic is the favorite though.

Womens side....If not serena idk who else, also a toss up..but because there is no clear number 2 on the women's side.

Serena looked pretty good today, but her opponent was weak, so...

It looks like Rosol might knock out Nadal again.

With Serena i can't tell these days...looks ready to steam roll a tournament..and then what happens at the french happens. Her serve will always make her dangerous here though. Idk who i'd pick to win if she went out early.

I took the field over Serena on this one. She played well in the first set, but was flat after the rain delay and deserved to lose.

She went out during the warm up and couldn't time the ball, barely walked. Sat down and looked distressed, started crying, the delay took 13 minutes. They tried playing...she couldn't hit any balls properly. They're down 2-0, she tries to serve...could barely pick up the ball, no serve cleared the net. Chair ump came to talk to her, he served harder...........all of them went out by a mile. They lost the game at 0-3 and them retired from the match.

Ouch, that's awful to hear.

I wonder if we've effectively seen the last of Serena really challenging for Majors.
