This chapter was simply amazing, as I said last week... chapter 514 could be the preparation for something really big and that happen to be the true this week. I would write most of my personal opinions in Italic font format and the rest will be written in normal font as I try to keep the most objective as god makes it possible for me.
Chapter's cover...
Not expected a lot of stuff that happened in this chapter, for example the cover itself, most of Konoha's eleven using the military vest of Konoha and heading to war, a Picture that a talented digital artist work and make it into a wonderful HD/WD Wallpaper.
The look of Konoha's 11
Naruto's training
Aoba is now taking care of Naruto and keeping him out of the current situation for as long as possible, however even if Naruto is a bit suspicious, he now thinks about waiting for Sasuke in Konoha...
however Kirabi manages to turn his attention around towards training his news power and controlling Kyuubi's chakra.. as we know Naruto have never being any good when it comes about chakra control, so controlling Kyuubi's chakra might represent a bigger challenge.
The Kages
The Tsuchikage once again shows his great flying ability, by making the whole island levitate towards Kumogakure, indeed flying comes handy in this case...
He might have fulfilled his mission of protecting the Jinchuurikis, however Yamato's intel about the Jinchuurikis and the shinobi alliance might leave an opening or hurt really bad the shinobi alliance. We rarely know what kind of information is delivered, for example we don't know what kind of information gave Konoha on Akatsuki, but it seems that it was incomplete as he knew about Tobi, we don't know exactly all the information that Tobi received from Kisame, hopefully we'll know more details as soon the war starts.
Something that called my attention is that each nation is using their most prominent skills in this situation:
The captains...
The Generals...
Gaara is the General Commander of the shinobi alliance, while another more prominent character like Kakashi have been selected just as General of the third division, something is really wrong here... Because while I believe that Gaara is amazing, the truth is that Kakashi is more experienced in the battlefield than him.
Madara's Rinnengan
Not really anything new from the Rinnengan, Madara having Nagato's abilities makes sense as Kishimoto explained that all of Nagato techniques were doujutsu's techniques...
however will he be able to use all his techniques or just half of them?. Hopefully he will show some new techniques, maybe some that Pain might have used off-screen for his purposes. Now we have an idea of what kind of powers Tobi have now, but whether he can use them all or not, remains to be seen.
Kabuto, for real...
Honestly Kabuto is becoming more and more interesting with each steps he takes forward... it seems that Kabuto has something in mind that Madara can't figure out.. in fact Madara is finally starting to worry a lot more than usual about his partnership with Kabuto, what he knows, how far is he ready for counter Tobi's techniques?...
as Kabuto reveal to be more and more prepared to fight in equal footing or maybe defeat Madara if needed. With the lack of development of Madara as villain, Kabuto becomes more and more a menacing and sinister figure in this manga.
With all the new edo tensei summons around, it makes Kabuto really interesting in terms of power and skills, compared to Orochimaru and the Tobi. The shinobi alliance indeed know about the army of Zetsus at this point, but do they know about Kabuto's edo tensei army?, there are few unknown faces among this group and also a shinobi that we don't see next to Hizashi, but I think that among those, is not the one that he used when meeting with Tobi for first time.
Thoughts...
Lot of Fan service and the fans are rejoicing this decision, we might get to see more from the character we liked or loved from the 1st and 2nd part of the manga. These are my fight predictions:
Hizashi Hyūga vs Hinata Hyūga
For me Neji vs Hizashi would not be as good as Hinata vs Hizashi, the reason is because Hizashi is widely know as the strongest Hyuuga... maybe the strongest Hyuuga ever, so it would be a logical way to redeem Hinata lack of participation in the manga and establish her as the worthy successor of the Hyuuga blood line.
Tsunade vs Hanzou
This the most logical scenario at the moment, as I doubt that Kabuto will put himself in the front line. Hanzou was a extremely powerful shinobi and was defeating easily the Denetsu no sannin.
Tsunade vs Dan
Maybe Kabuto is trying to use Tsunade memories about her first love to assassinate her
Tsunade vs Kabuto
Is the third scenario and the less likely to happen right now in this battle. Is pretty much like Gai vs Kisame, in this case is medical nin vs medical nin battle. It should be great because we know the required abilities to become a medical ninja (Great Chakra control and high evasion skills).
Lee vs Kimimaru
This would be interesting, because we would assume that Kimimaro is not limited by his health issues anymore and that Gaara won't interfere in this fight like in the first part of the manga.
Zabuza vs Kakashi
This would be a great way to set the record, of course Kakashi ended defeating him by the end of the first arc, however let's not forget that Kakashi could have died, if it weren't due Naruto and Sasuke's shadows shurinken combination.
Chiyo vs Kankouro
Puppet master vs Puppet master would be great
Chiyo vs Sakura
Previously allies, now enemies in battle... would be a interesting battle to see how far Sakura have grown as character since the beginning of the manga.
Those are the one I can think of right now.
The chapter was overall great for me, I loved and I enjoyed each page. From the Tsuchikage making the Turtle Island across the skies to watching Konoha's 11 involvement in the war. There are few things that I found weird and I hope be explained later in the manga as the arc progresses, these are:
Kankouro being the ambush commander, I have not seen any ability or skill that could make him worthy of such responsibility. Ao being the sensor squad leader, the same reason as Kankouro, having shown the ability to use the Byakuugan doesn't make him the best choice for the job.
Hopefully the next week Tobi and Kabuto will be the first to attack or maybe they'll look for Sasuke before they actually decided to attack the shinobi alliance, who knows, a lot remains to be seen.

- Hinata looks gorgeus in her uniform
- Tenten looks great, as good as Hinata
- Neji and Shino look really great wearing the uniform and Shino's face have been totally revealed.
- Sakura and Ino look really badass
- Kiba and Akamaru look fine, nothing too special there.
- Chouji and Sai, look like those toys that you put in the card and nod constaly as we drive.

- Konoha is pretty much in charge of the medical and intelligence, as you might know if you have read the manga, most of the prominent victories of Konoha in war events have been due their medical techniques. their Intel squad and skills are also widely know as we have seen in the manga (Ibiki, Inoichi and now with Aoba.)
- Kumogakure is using their ambush squads, as we know one their squadron actually ambushed Team Tobirama and successfully killed Nidame Hokage.
- Kirigakure they are known for their sensor type shinobi (Ao), however how much of these abilities are not related to the Byakuugan remains to be seen.
The captains...
- Ambush Company Team - Kankouro, Honestly I don't remember Kankoru showing skills relating to ambushing an enemy, so this is a weird decision.
- Medical Logistics Team - Shizune, It makes totally sense, Shizune is by far the best medical nin of Konoha after Tsunade, yes we know that Sakura eats books and learn as fast as Shizune, but one thing is learning as fast as shizune and another is actually being as good a Shizune, great decision from Kishimoto, bad decision to bring ton-ton to war.
- » Intel Company Captain - Inoichi, Is weird that it wasn't Ibiki the chosen for the role, but Inoichi is a great man for the role and it make senses for Konoha to be leading this team as they are the best in this area as well.
- Sensor Company Captain - Ao: I'm not quite sure about this selection, because his ability as sensor seems to be related with the Byakuugan from the Hyuuga.
