got up to date with bleach , started reading naruto and will start to read ao no exorcist and reborn, any recommendations xio?

Will also start to watch nisemonogatari since I remember you recommended bakemonogatari to me and I liked it, did you see that one? I heard there's a third series coming soon @w@

and if I remember right the second one focuses on his sisters [the main character who's name I forgot]

It's not weird. It's a good deal. To control myself better and not make mistakes due to intoxication that would cause me to regret a great deal (i.e. fall off the stairs and break my spine) as I would have the potential to do so, I thought I ought to stay away from alcohol from now on.

HOWEVER! That promise seems so unreal to accomplish. Instead, to soften the conditions, I gave myself a leeway, and vowed not to drink anything alcoholic but wine.

We have no such custom here...if you don't drink they just call you a pussy and that's it

Technically... we have the same world view on that.

But there's just this practice that if they hand you a drink you can't refuse. Well, you have a right to say no, but it would be really awkward. Especially since we're still developing our relationship and aren't that close yet. :/

I have read Katy Perry and Beiber lyrics. Their lyrics may have been written by a random word generator.

But it's songs like theirs that stick to your head and you end up singing in your head all day

There's actually a prequel movie coming out. I've only seen Bakemonogatari, I try to stay away from watching things that are currently running, so I can watch at a pace I dictate.

Have you read Fullmetal Alchemist? Have you read any Seinen? something more mature?

It sounds like you just need to learn some moderation ...there's a perfect high you get when drinking, and then just drink to maintain it. You don't need to go overboard, but I see your logic that it'd be easier to do with wine than liquor. I've sort of perfected that method with beer. I take it you don't like beer?

Sounds like an Asian thing, no? I'm not saying refusing drink wouldn't be awkward here, but there is a level of respect for someone who doesn't like or drink alcohol. Granted, there is razzing of such a person, but they usually have their reasons and I don't view them doing so as disrespectful.

I used to love beer back in college. LOL. But you know, I'm over it. I've had my time, didn't say I regret any of it. It's just that, it's like a feeling of "been there, done that" kinda thing.

Choosing wine in the mid-twenties and starting a career, now that's something I haven't reached yet

There's as much variety in beer as there is in wine. I'd expect a gourmand like you to be able to appreciate that, sort of disappointed. Granted, a lush like you would enjoy wine more because it's stronger obviously
