You know, I keep remembering your comment about mangoes tasting "peppery" and every time I slice mangoes I always think of what you said. Because I could never imagine mangoes to be "peppery", as they are one of the most heavenly things on earth.

Well when I got to Qatar and tried the mangoes from... India was it? or some other country, Their mangoes tasted just as you described. Peppery. I asked my aunt in Australia if they also had mangoes that were like from the Philippines, and she said their mangoes were also different.

SO! I conclude that Philippine mangoes are the best, and nothing like anything else. That if you ever visit, I will be sure to make you eat one that you could never say mangoes are peppery.

I like all varieties...on pizza, roasted, raw, doesn't matter :nod

Ah, so now you know what I meant? Not every mango tastes like that, but a lot of them do. And I never said it was a bad thing, and it's not really peppery, it just sort of has this different spice-note to it.

I'll gladly try one if I ever visit...maybe I can just ask my neighbors if they know where to get a Filipino mango around here? When it gets warm they turn their backyard into a garden and grow all these weird things. They even use bamboo as lattice for support. I never really looked at what was growing there, but I see their daughter picking leafy looking things. The smell from their house is always amazing. They cooked some pork belly thing as well as some squid roll and they were both amazing tasting.

And peppery/spicy isn't a bad thing, like I said.

I call it king of mangoes. Its THE best of them all. You will know it without even eating it, from its aroma. They are most expensive but unfortunately, for last few years, we are getting only cross-breeds. The pure ones are being exported.

Well nisemonogatari is finished I think @_@ so the third thing is a prequel ? interesting
And yea I usually wait for stuff to finish before I start watching cuz I'm impatient to wait a whole week for the next episode. Even with naruto and bleach I used to wait like a month or two before starting to watch cuz of that reason. But with the manga it's all good since I had like 90 chapters to get to day with it xDDD [too bad I'm already to date with Bleach now @_@ that 3 week gap killed me!!!!!!!!!!!!]

I've watched both the series of FMA didn't read the manga but I heart that FMA brotherhood stuck to the original story from the manga , so I dunno if there's point in reading the manga now?

poah it's getting interesting I'm liking the battles so far and it's keeping me on edge xD
I read naruto a while back when they were fighting akatsuki [deidara sasori bla bla] but I wasn't into manga cuz it's different when you read it on paper than when on the computer and I wasn't into it so I gave up and now since my patience with the anime ran out I decided to go with the manga so here I am , read 50 chapters in like 2 days xDDD
