What do you mysterious words before the Gantz manga starts represent?
"Before the world was created,
the Word already exsisted.
The Word was the source of life,
and this life brough light to mankind.
The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness has never put it out."
1. Gantz is black as darkness (though Gantz could be the light).
2. A word is a concept, opposed to an experience.
"conceptual world" vs the "experiential world" possibly?
Gantz is a very experiential manga with few dialogue and open to interpretation.
The dialogue can tend to be few and far between.
3. Many aspects of society are heavily involved in the manga
4. The Word is capitalized similar to, yep, God.
5. Where does Oku's quote come from?
6. Is it philosophical or what?
When people do talk in the manga are they clear & focused concepts, opposed to everyday chatter?
As a society we sometimes get confused. The original quote Oku chose also tries to bring meaning to our lives, and/or explain what created us.
How can a word or concept create us? I think without the Word we might not have a conceptual world.. a bubble that defines the limits of our thoughts, conversations and more as a society.
Any thoughts anyone?
