I think that natsu in acnologia and that both him and zeref were rasied by the apoclpsy dragon. It shows that in the magic games a person with a scarf and pink/red hair fought a dragon. Also when the runes blocked natsu the master and gajeel out one of the conditions were no one over 80 years old. After killing some dragons natsu went power hungry and turned into a dragon. When zeref found out he found other dragon slayers which were gajeel,rogue,sting and windy also a ancestor of layla(lucy's mom) and mavis. The then created the eclipse project and went back into time before natsu met the eclipse project and sent him and the other dragon slayers back with some dragon kings (of random elements). While doing this zeref was suppose to be last but acnologia found out and attacked him which destoryed the portal and made everyone lose their memories but layla's ancestor and zeref. everyone but zeref and layla's ancestor went into the future. Then acnologia used magic on zeref to make him evil and made sure both acnologias life and zeref's life are tied together so if one dies the other does aswell. Which is why zeref is immortal. Layla's ancestor escaped and made lumen's historie which explained all of this. And told her ancester Mavis to make the guild called fairytail. When zeref fought natsu on the island he said he can't kill him yet. The reason is he hasn't awakened like zeref. The only way to awaken him was layla's ancestor. She died but her power went to mavis. When acnologia found out he made zeref murder her. But there was also layla when Igneel and the other dragon disappeared they took layla with them which explains why she "died" on the same day they disappeared. The took her so one day,the right day, she can awaken natsu. The left to protect her. The didn't know the lucy also inherited the power. since natsu is the only person stronger the zeref when he's awakened. He wants him to kill him so that both him and acnologia die. Which is why lumen historie is both bad and good cause it tells how to awaken natsu and he might go power hungry. But its the only way to kill zeref. And the reason why igneel tryed to destory the End is because it is a thing which's sole purpose is to control natsu to become acnologia. The reason why Only igneel and natsu can destory The End is because when zeref made it he had a little control so he made to be vulnerable to fire(natsu's and Igneels). The reason why natsu didn't die when he ate the ethernano is because when he's awakened he can use all magic.
