Don't read if haven't read the manga. <3

We all assumed:

Mindless titan + shifter = new shifter with the previous shifter's memories and powers.

What does Ymir remember and why doesn't have skin like the others? Implying Mercl or Brik was from the same village as Reiner and Berthold. But wasn't Annie from somewhere else then trained to become one of them?

Maybe there is no bloodline tradition, legit titan thing.
Maybe there are different titans more than we know.

Eren's and Freida's shot says "Super Titan!" maybe there is different shots?

I play the Attack on Titan Game and people would complained: "Why are crawlers in this? Too many!!" (The titan that Sasha got chased by.)
I would say they do have a point, we've only seen one the entire anime AND manga. What is up with that?

Why are some abnormal, crawlers, skinless, apes? What makes them different?
RBA has had the same form even as a child when RB wrecked the wall.

Frieda's form was the same when she transformed twice.
Only Eren's was different.

He didn't get another shot, so many it's not a shot.
Maybe it's a simple matter of mindset.

Annie trained to be with them, RBA are "warriors" implying they had serious training. Maybe because they think their warriors, they turned into that type of titan.

They must have a goal in mind to transform, they had to leave behind their humanity to become a "Great titan".

I read/watched this similar situation before in an anime, "From a New World."
People have to train themselves to use their mind to kill. There two kinds of people.

Ones who use their powers for good, if they believe they're not killing a human they won't die.

Another type is ones who kill without regret and no death.

Did I say two? There's 3 at the very end of the manga. They thought the human killing everyone was Fiend - that's the title for those who kill without death.

No it was one their own, they didn't die because their humanity was lost. Not knowing it was human, it's goals was different.

Depending on the goal and rather or not you have humanity will define your titan.

In the latest chapter, considering how Rod said that he chose the 'most appropriate Titan for battle', the main factor in deciding your Titan form, are the contents of the serum you are injected with.

I believe Eren's Titan form, the first time when he was a mindless chubby kid titan was different because he became a mindless titan when he was 10 years old. If you look at the chapters about the Beast Titans first appearance he changed people into titans, among those people were kids. You could see those small titans messing around like kids, and one of the kid titans pushed the other kid titan and snapped his neck. The reason Eren's titan form changed because i think after becoming a shifter your titan doesn't look deform and it reaches to it's full potenital it terms of height and strength. So as for RBA because they were titan shifters as kids, their titans look fit and healthy (I guess that's one way to put it). In chapter 65 they mention types of titan syringes which probably determines what titan you get. I guess Ymir's titan wasn't the biggest but it was fast and had claws.

So it basic terms:
- whatever age you are, your mindless titan will be based on that. Look at Connie's mum, for example, when she was a mindless titan. She couldn't move because she was old. Eren is another example when he first became a mindless titan. He looked like a kid, a cute looking one too. The kids in Connies's village that where changed into titan because of the Beast Titan still acted like kids. One of the small titan push the other one over like kids.

- Titan shifting is kind of like a cure which will straighten out your titan's deformity, making it look better and be able to control you titan. But i'm curious to what would happen if their titan form consumes the human body once again for titan shifters.

It does not seem like becoming a shifter itself is what rids you of your deformities. Look at ymir. Her titan looks the same as before she became a shifter. And hisotria seemingly transformed into a pretty strong looking titan. Odds are there are shifters from the vaccine and titans from some other inferior transformation method.

I knew someone would bring Ymir up and I don't blame you. Hehe so if you compare the two, before and after there's a significant difference

After: http://www.onemanga2.com/Attack_on_Titan/40/43/
her mindless Titan form was no doubt hideous, her rib cages are showing and her arms don't have define muscles
As for the titan shifting ability afterwards, she has muscles in her chest and has abs. Hey arms look just a tad bit definer and personally i find this form, compared to her mindless titan form, more better to look at.
Honestly, to me both forms look the same. The difference being that in the first image her arm is getting in the way of us seeing her abs. Look at eren's young boy titan form. It was definitely different from what normal dumb titans looks like. He did not have the look of a normal titan outside the wall. And his grown up form is simply his form at a higher corresponding age. It is a tad weird that neither reyner or berholt seemed to have a corresponding younger form 5 years ago though. Then again they might be older than eren.

Not really, the point of my previous post was that there was no discernible difference between ymir's appearance in both scenarios.

Well, she should be over 60 although the scenario seems to be that she simply didn't age while she was not in control. Presumably she should age while not in titan form.
