That's actually not fanmade. That's officially drawn by Isayama. He drew that when he was 19 years old. Right now he's around 26.

It's used to test the waters whether publishing companies like it or not.

And as far as I know, nobody tried to translate this yet either.

Anyway, for now I just want to comment that the 'Eren-looking' character looks suspiciously like Isayama's recent drawings of a female Eren. She also talks to a "shishou" who looks like a male Mikasa. :'D

Not really familiar with Norse Mytholgy, but we already had those? As far as I could remember, we only have Half Titans, Ymir and Utgard.

Odin - God known being deceptive, tricky and cunning, it is him who welcomes the dead.
Odin often stands for the concept of the Wild Hunt, a group of huntsmen riding on horses on the ground in pursuit of something.He was also known to be responsible for wars.

Freyja - The Goddess of War and Death but also love, her brother's main enemy is a colossal titan of fire.

Ullr - This God is known for his tremendous speed and skill as Archer.

Bragi - A God who is known for his speeches and major wisdom.

Thor - The strongest God among all described as constantly fierce eyed.

Even the weakness of Titans hails from the myths.
Seior a type of shamanic science tells of a state of trance which may lead to transformation, supposedly those in this trance have their soul seething out the nape of their neck and may become aggressive.

Kannazuki, you understand Japanese, right? Could you explain to us in short terms what is happening in the pilot? I could understand only the basic things.

Also, at the time of the pilot, the titan's weakpoint was some sort of round structure in their bodies? Or did I just see that wrong? Interesting, in any way.

What role does Ymir play in the mythology? What about Fenrir?

Ullr = Sasha (remember not only the archer thing but she was called a fast cadet)
Bragi = Armin
Thor = Levi or potentially Eren (I think of Levi's eyes as similar to Mikasa's but colder; meanwhile Eren's have Thor's lightning in them)

*edit* I vaguely recall Ymir was the progenitor of all titans, and had a hairy body. But that makes no sense since it seems more like it describes the ape titan than her.
