The total votes of Group A is 330, and Group B's is 292. 330-292=38. Assuming everyone cast 4 votes, 38/4=9,5. So the activity decreased by ~9 people. Looking forward to who will be Group C's #1 and how many votes they get.

(I think) You can calculate how many people voted by dividing the number of votes by the percentage... so in Group A Irene had 80 votes/90.9% = 88 voters for the poll in total. Group B had 76 voters.

August has the best percentage with 97.4%. Irene (90.9%) and Gildarts (88.2%) are the top 3 so far.

Besides obvious bias, favoritism & persistent stubbornness of some, and activity rate; consider that while there are many participants for voting, not all of them necessarily vote.

Well, Wendy has the ability to "counterbalance" or "cancel" all of Irene's enchantments. So that's what I mean by outclass. And she was already dealing damage to Human Irene in base form.

So I assume DF would cause a lot more damage.

Even if Irene does give Natsu a good match, DF Natsu should still pull off the win since he's far stronger than Base Wendy and Erza.

And Irene having 8 votes higher than Natsu says otherwise...

I am okay with Irene having more votes than Natsu in the group matches. Keep in mind that we allow for 4 votes per person, so there's a really solid chance that everyone who voted for Natsu also voted for Irene. We know for a fact that some people simply refuse to vote for Natsu out of bias, so I imagine that would be where the difference comes in. Then there's some people who genuinely believe Natsu would get eliminated by the competition, and that should account for 2-3 votes.

Also, my own personal opinion is that Irene stands a fair chance against Natsu. Sure Natsu might be able to beat her if he lands demolition fist in dragon force, but Irene also stands a good chance of breaking all his bones with a claw swipe.

@natsulucy Jellal and Laxus reach 70+ votes. Jellal's is even 79, 1 vote away from Irene's. The activity was down during Group B, I think because it was underway when there's no spoiler (not in weekends when usually spoilers are out). Spoiler is what do attract more people.

Sure, Irene could probably come close to killing August if she crushed him underneath her claws, but the chance of that happening against a healthy and full-powered Natsu/August is extremely small.

A top tier like Natsu and August would not be waiting for Irene's claw to swipe them off their feet (like Erza). Irene's claw swipe didn't strike me as exceptionally fast, and it's not like Natsu starts off exhausted, similar to Erza against Irene.

Saying Irene gets 80 votes because of one claw swipe is really a stretch...



In terms of dragonification, Irene's transformation is quite slow.

In the manga, it took her several panels/pages before she turned into a full-fledged dragon. Any Dragon Slayer here would be fully ready by the time Irene transforms.

And keep in mind, you only need a dragon slayer like Wendy to pull off reverting Irene.



Mashima introduced Dragon Slayers into the manga for a purpose. And I think Group A was a good opportunity to showcase that.

Also, Natsu's DF Demolition Fist would be more than enough to oneshot Irene, regardless of whether she's in her dragon/human form.

Irene's human form is already sub-par to Erza + Base Wendy.

Irene's dragon form could be instantly reverted by DF Natsu, or any other dragon slayer for that matter.

There's no contest here as far as I'm concerned. Irene doesn't have the durability in neither her dragon nor human form to stand a chance against any of the other dragon slayers in this match.

Btw i was surprised at the result of Group A, people keep commenting that Natsu will win due to his fans, but i'm just glad people are not biased lol most people admitted Irene is stronger than Natsu, so August and Zeref have a big chance to win if they facing Natsu.

Rather than the final winner, i'm more curious of who will facing Zeref in the final lol

Well his previous feat was pretty good.Against IgNatsu he performed pretty well.You may argue that he was getting pushed back or dominated but still it was god tier performance.

@Seven777 Shame that no tie emerged from Group D. I was expecting it to happen. Gajeel's votes and Wall's are close after all. Even Invel's is almost close too. Would have been nice if they three had same votes haha.
