I don't think that's the case. Elfman is the 4th strongest among the group in pure stats, he was a good contender for the final spot.

You still underestimate Jacob Statham

He takes time to transform into a dragon. His initial stages of DF is weaker than Kyria. He gets taken out before he becomes a full fledged dragon

those A&B results... both had 1-vote gap (Gildarts-Erza & Jellal-Mira). Had it been a tie, Kagura and Wendy would have advanced and we would have had some threesome matches in Ro16.
