Done Translating a name!

To get straight to the point, how would you translate "シャゴット"?
I'm pretty sure it's a name, but if you know that it isn't, please tell me ^_^

I'm fairly certain that's actually a name, but I'm not too sure what it is exactly.

Do you have any ideas what language it could have came from, from the context?

It's from the manga Fairy Tail. I was trying to look for a language to pin it to, but this particular mangaka seems to mostly cobble them together from whatever English words come to his mind... =_=

Ah, it doesn't appear because she's a new character. I'm not at home at the moment, so I don't have the pages with me m(__)m perhaps you could take a look at it when I can give you the page later? Though I think I'll leave it as Shagotte for now.

Sorry that I wasn't helpful. I hate translating foreign names as well. You can never be sure what language (if any) they're from.

I'm not totally sure what the correct spelling for the name is, but Shagott seems to be a fairly common last name. Maybe he took it from that?

I would use Shagott ... Queen Shagott. (I have never seen an actual name such as Chargotte. ) The only problem that I had was that Shagott is often a last name. Like in Queen Elisabeth, don't you use the first name after Queen? (I do not read Fairy Tail, so excuse my ignorance. )
