Typesetting In Gimp:
Okay so I want to join a manga scans group but I really don't have any experience in typesetting. Also I don't have photoshop I have gimp can some one give me advice for it?

Have you watched tutorials on yourube I am sure there are many sorry I cant help any further with this.

There's also one major flaw with typesetting in Gimp - you cannot edit those text layers in Photoshop. Which means you'd be either forcing the QCer to get Gimp him/herself or point out all of the prospective mistakes to you and wait till you fix them (much less practical). So yeah, I wouldn't recommend it.
