Discussion Underrated and Overrated

it says they also have to be in a pinch, but i think if they have already done synchro it is easier to do it even if they are not in a pinch, so since niou has done it before they might be able to use it earlier.

And also that it is nearly impossible for people to enter the state on their own. Twin and Golden pair can do it on their own, so Niou syncho when he become them make sense. Not for any other character.

As of 2020.

Underrated
Yagyu- He always beat Niou. His only loss was when he purposely throw the match cause rikkaidai wants kirihara development.
Chitose- Just because he lost to tezuka 1-6, doesbt mean he is weak.
Shiraishi- He has the most realistic tennis but was able to beat fuji who uses impossible moves.
Yanagi- He only loss to inui cause of plot armor. Being top 3 in rikkai is amazing feat.

Overrated
Ryoma- Yes. He has the plot armor. He never lose an official match, but always lose in practice unofficial match. Hahahaaha. He even lose to kikumaru.

Fuji - He is a genius. But Shiraishi gave him a wake up call. I expect him to have 12 counters to live up to his genius monicker.

Tezuka- National level Player,Most famous ms tennis player. Yet cannot win a major match cause of injuries.

Kirihara- Unsatisfying for me. Cannot even beat Ryomas american friend.


Ok rated

Nanjiro- He never lose/lost. So his reputation is deserving.
Atobe- rated ok.
Kite- rated ok

Niou cant copy sanada or yukimura, and if he did it would be a useless copy as he cant use ANY of sanada's techs .
Reason: for those unaware, niou only uses illusion to copy special moves, his stats dont change, and sanada's tech's arent as cheap as tezuka's
Niou cant copy everyone (yukimura and fuuji for e.g) yukimura uses perfect movements(niou simply cannot do that) and fuuji uses his sense of nature (which niou doesnt have ) and genius (which niou doesnt have)
for sanada his tech's (except rai and in) arent powerups. Sanada was simply bad at restraint and had to seal off his power to be able to play alongside weaklings like niou




the mindset everybody seeems to have is that if there is any impossible tech introduced/impossible char, niou can just copy it and be 99% as badass as he is. and people think that he is super interesting but you dont realize that ALL illusions are bounded by the same set of stats, and there are some techs which are too much for him to handle (hoshi hanabi for eg)
Niou is overrated

Well, coming from 5 years in the future i can tell that actually Niou is busted as fuck seeing how he copied Byodoin (world tech and pirate spirit), Zeus, Noah and Camus, lets enphasize CAMUS (captain of world Nº3 country and a pro) and is driving 2 pros to the wall (even though i think he can't reach 100% of Camus lv, maybe around 70%-80% ?)

Now, I read all this discussion and based on what i saw:

Underrated:

• Gin (he's MSr Nº1 power player)
• Kite (Kite only weakness is knocking the racket off his hands after the multiple rackets power up)
• Oishi (as a single player he's useless but he's a double genius)
• Marui (his weakness is pure strenght to break his defense but if he has someone to defend and focus on attacking he can pretty much form an invincible double)

Overrated:

• All Seigaku
• Tanegashima (he was getting stomped by Zeus and that make us think, what he got beside being able to return any special shot ? Would he be able to beat Tokugawa who isn't full of offensive shots ?)
• Byodoin (in this case i guess people think we haven't seen everything he can do because if we did, he's in a close level to Tokugawa and Niou copying him took a beating from the 2 pros of Germany, so there's no way he can beat Volk 1v1, probably just like Tokugawa did get some games. But maybe he can beat Amadeus since he lost to USA cap and Medanore because even tough he has higher potencial he's objectively weaker than Volk)

For me Gin is ok rated. He and Duke are considered most powerful players. But stomped by Federer and his partner.

Kite is ok rated. He is maybe in C or D tier.

Oishi isn seigaku So you cannot put ALL. Besides Inui is underrated.

Come on. Zeus is being compared to Volk and Byodouin. But Tane was able to beat him Without super attacks. Tane is no.2 for a reason. Oni has beaten byodoin but not Tane.
