I don't really buy into those memes, my brother and his gf are Instinct, and they're not really hipsters. I just like complaining about hipsters. I also like calling Ust a hipster for some reason.

For practical purposes, if you were going to be serious about playing the game (I just cringed...), picking Instinct seems smart because they're not as popular as Valor or Mystic, so there'd be more gym battles.

I was actually drawn to Instinct most, but of reason above, ended in Mystic.I don't mind being called a hipster. I mean, I'm an urban semi-vegan, who enjoys craft beers, wears mostly second-hand clothing and likes indie stuff (in games, music, and films). It's not too far off the mark.

I think Moltres is certainly less cool than Zapdos or Articuno, and at the time of choosing Valor seemed to be the most popular for some reason. Blue is my favorite color, so I just went with Mystic. The memes are usually about Instinct team members being simpletons...or hipster because they're the least popular /s

What exactly is a semi-vegan? I thought I read about you eating caribou some weeks ago, didn't I? I mean, that's not even semi-vegetarian.

I just eat meat very rarely now. And try confirm the source. Though I think I'm slipping back to regular eating, soy just doesn't seem to agree with my stomach well.

Around here it seems to be pretty even. Early on there were more Mystics, but now Mystic, Instinct and Valor seem to pop up on gyms pretty evenly. I've found on perma-Mystic gym though. Atleast it has been controlled by the same mystic players since I found it few weeks ago. It's level 10, with all pokemon in it being +2000cp Snorlaxes.

But vegan means you consume no animal products, whether it's meat or not. I think you meant semi-vegetarian, no? Please tell me you haven't forsaken cheese....

Haven't forsaken cheese. But I try use less dairy and eggs as well.

Cheese though, is the thing I've had the most problems with. "Vegan cheese" ´just doesn't do it.

What about fish? I know of a lot of people who swear off meat and call themselves pescatarian.

I dislike them. Doesn't just taste right.

Well, your attitude definitely makes more sense from a logical standpoint. There are hardcore vegans out there that just say some of the craziest things...

Back to Pokemon Go; would it be possible to access regional exclusives by giving your account password to someone on the other Continent and have them catch the Tauros/Farfetch/Kanghaskan/Mime on your account? Technically it should work. But would it be a ban worthy if somehow caught by Niantic?

And even though I'm not a hunter myself, when I hear their attitude towards hunting my eyes roll into the back of my head.

Well, there was discussion for a certain recipe developing "vegan meatballs" or something like that, and I mentioned that what keep meatballs together usually are eggs. Suddenly I were the incarnation of all that is evil and wrong is this universe for using eggs. I left the conversation early, but later some troll apparently joined in to fuel the flames. I think comparisons to eating fetuses was made.

I'm not a hunter either, but when done under regulations, hunting imho is maybe the most humane way of getting meat - the animals had a full or almost full life in their natural enviroment. And it can actually help the eco-system by not letting certain species grow too much in numbers and causing problems from other species and plat life. Not like I'm an expert in the matter though. It's kinda crazy how some vegans go so berserk over it. I know it is sad and wrong to end a beings life, but thats how lit goes. Meat use should be lessened a lot for many reasons, but I don't think mankind is ever going to be completely sufficient with just vegetable proteins.
