Hey I was reading the what does your voice sound like thread and thought instead of describing it y not just use a chat server like ventrilo
and what are the odds that i happen to own a vent server
so if you want you can use it as long as you guys don't act like jerks but i don't think that will be a problem
(unfortunately it can only hold around 20 people but i doubt many people will be on it most of the time anyway)
If you already know about ventrilo here is the server info
(Atlanta,Georgia Server)
Hostname:ga1.ugt-servers.com
PortNumber 17708
Also if u dont have a mic dont sweat it u can still listen as long as u have speakers also there is an awesome tts chat system
IF YOUR A FIRST TIMER TO VENTRILO THEN FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW TO SET IT UP
click to access ventrilo download page
and install nothing hard about it just make u sure you dont download the server version the one u want is at the top
then once u get on
click on the arrow next to server
and type in rhyuho=smexy for the server name(u don't actually have to use that name really all u have to do is type in what ever u want but rhyuho=smexy is an indisputable fact so y bother with anything else)
Then type in
next to hostnam/IP:ga1.ugt-servers.com
under that where it asks for port number type in: 17708
(dont worry you don't need to have a server password to access the forum)
which will bring u back to the original menu
then click connect
After your connected there is still one last thing u need to do to use voice chat.
Once inside click on setup and on the TOP LEFT SIDE OF THE SETUP MENU there is a box with the text0 USE PUSH TO TALK HOTKEY
click on the box so that now there is a check inside it
Just A little bit down from there is the text: HOTKEY: with a long box next to it click on the box and then choose a key that you want to be your hotkey, or the key u press to use your mic. After you have chosen your key simply press the key while your still locked on the box next to the text HOTKEY
after that u can go to test in the setup menu to check your mic
tthen exit setup and press your hotkey to talk
well thats all u need to get started really
