Volumes 58 and 59 were published month by month and because OVAs were added to both, I had to draw 2 covers for each. Everytime, when the volume is about to being published, the pace of work changes and I'm very busy, but this time it was 2 volumes month by month, so it was even worse. Besides, this time there are 4 additional pages of manga added to 9 OVA (my schedule became really tight). *I don't understand last sentence... seriously, wtf? But it seems, that it's nothing important, maybe I'll decipher it later

I guess Makarov taught him regular lightning magic.
Makarov would be the likely person to teach Laxus lightning magic. Ivan is a dick no arrangements there and sometimes people forget Ivan is still alive. I think the Red Lightning would be less of an asspull if someone taught it to Laxus and seeing what Hiro said in the Q and A that seems like a likely possibly.
