Plus, Akita Shoten doesn't have anything except Saint Seiya.

I believe Saint Seiya is the most profitable franchise in Akita Shoten, but Crows and Baki are strong ones, too. Yowamushi Pedal is getting stronger as well.

Crows and Baki were already ended, so they don't bring money to Akita Shoten anymore. Plus, Yowamushi Pedal didn't really become strong after anime, so it really isn't much profitable series.

Heck, a quick example here in Mexico, here we haven't gotten any manga published for like 4 years after Mundo Vid went bankrupt, now 2 new publishers appeared: Kamite and Panini Mexico.

Kamite licensed Saint Seiya Episode G and Panini Mexico licensed Saint Seiya Lost Canvas.

Before Saint Seiya I don't think Akita Shoten had any works that where anywhere close to Saint Seiya in level of appeal outside of Japan.. Except maybe for Battle Royale (I don't even know if Akita Shoten but wte) but not even that one comes near IMO.

Fairy Tail never was huge like Bleach, and Saint Seiya is much more famous and huge than Bleach out of Japan, so this comparison is not really adequate to show the popularity of Saint Seiya.

Yea, I know. I´m from Brazil and here Saint Seiya is simply HUGE. It's just the greatest anime of all time. Period. All stuff related to Saint Seiya sells a lot in here.
The fact is: I didn't know Baki and Crow had finished. lol

I´m afraid Akita Shoten will live up releasing spin-offs and prequels ad infinitum. =/

Saint Seiya is from the era of Dragon Ball, and from the same magazine(Weekly Shonen Jump), it was Dragon Ball rival for like 4 to 5 years. It was a Huge thing at that time, and right now Akita Shoten as a lot of spin offs of the series.

yeah, i think the original manga was never released in germany but saint seiya episode g got 7 or 8 volumes in german (panini comics/manga)

I think you may like Saint Seiya - The Lost Canvas or Omega (an animation made by Toei. Honestly, I don't like this anime). The first one, released in '86, might sound anachronistic, unless you don't have issues with older mangas such as DB, Jojo, Hokuto no Ken and so on.
