Well...I guess you could say he does want to draw something new. Sounds like he wants to do it a bit sooner than a year though. Maybe Kagyuu was never meant to be a long series? I dunno.

I think it's pretty obvious that it's a joke. Also, I think the sword looks more like Brotherhood from Final Fantasy X than Zangetsu (or rather it's something of a mixture of the two). Anyway, it's a beautiful cover, as are all of Magi's covers!
