They are in a kitchen in a boring pose. Tadokoro could have been a larger element on the cover. Unlike the previous covers with vibrant backgrounds and such this one feels lacking.

Well, volume 5 of Soma must've had the most boring cover then, since it just had people in cooking clothes in the kitchen, holding a knife.

I think theres a clear difference in how dynamic their pose and holding the knife is while looking fierce compared to standing their peeling a potato and holding a pot...Pose and what their doing clearly matters here.
