Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

the anime for Kuroko no Basket is doing a great job promoting it.
the sale numbers for volume 2 of Yamada-kun to 7 Nin no Majo aren´t that great (I don´t know when it went on sale...).

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

if you're also going well shingeki no kyojin, would not surprise me if they end up having an anime.

They are filming a live action movie, scheduled for a 2013 release. Kodansha prefers live action (movies and TV) for anything with an old enough audience. An anime is not out of the question; Uchuu Kyoudai (also Kodansha) was adapted into an anime in April 2012, with a live action movie following in May.

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

There's a pretty good chance Shingeki no Kyojin will get some sorta anime, given how popular it is and how it's sort of a shounen story. There's a good chance they'll do what they did with Uchuu Kyoudai and setup for an anime to start around the time the movie comes out. However, since it's a monthly manga, they might need to do it in seasons or something. A lot of the story has fast-paced action and such, so an anime would probably go through it pretty fast.

It's good to see Kingdom's sales have improved some from the anime. I hope it keeps it up.
Hoozuki no Reitetsu sure sells well. I haven't heard much at all about it. I guess it won the Taisho award so that's helped it.
There's actually a lot I haven't heard of on this list, but most of it's in the 30-20K range.
PSI Kusuo Saiki should rank next week, I wonder how that'll do. It's ranked high, but there's a good chance it'll end up like Inumaru in that it never gets high sales because of its gag nature.

Kuroko this beating a toriko in sales...

Of course the anime helped.. just like the anime helped Toriko.. though not as much even though it airs next to One Piece.

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

This chart makes me sad. Gaku and Tomehane were among my favorite manga, neither are currently scanlated.

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

There was a release of tomehane not so long ago but it's true they are not regular

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

Good to see Ao Haru Ride still selling so well, totally deserving.
And Kuroko selling around 500k is a big achievement, I wonder if the trend will continue even after the anime is finished.
