Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings
Apart from Nana by Ai Yazawa, I would say yes.
Apart from Nana by Ai Yazawa, I would say yes.
Not just currently but for a long timeIs Kimi ni todoke the shoujo that sells the most currently ?
Oricon noted on Thursday that Karuho Shiina's Kimi ni Todoke manga now holds the shōjo manga record for most consecutive volumes to top the weekly manga ranking chart since Oricon began posting its charts in April 2008. Kimi ni Todoke now has 12 consecutive volumes ranking at #1.

Complete reprinting for volume 3 is scheduled for October 30thHQ is doing really well. To get over 100K already is very good. It's sure to keep getting more printed each volume at this rate.

I'm sorry, but I don't know. It just says on the Shueisha website that it is getting a complete reprinting but doesn't show how many will be reprinted. When you say complete reprinting what does that mean?
The initial printing for Vol. 1 was 30K IIRC and Vol. 2 got re-printed twice and sold on Oricon about 85K, so assuming vol. 3 just hit the 120K would they print 30K now or somewhere closer to 100K?
KochiKame doesn't sell much, but at least, when a new volume is released, it often appears at Oricon's ranking in the first week. And even Kochikame made the list. That's the first time I've seen one of an Oricon list in recent memory.
well i was actually bothered by this "complete reprint" issue so i asked a couple of friends on publishing business; according to them it means reprinting every single volume of the comic, graphic novel or manga in this case, so as to make a better profit. they r not sure about the number of copies but apperently the more the number lower the 1 book cost for the publishers. demand will play a huge role. When you say complete reprinting what does that mean?

Since the anime was announced in July, circulation has more than doubled. Before the announcement 3 million copies were in print, as of October 10 there are 6.5 million copies in print.Looks like Magi's anime boost is getting into full swing.
