Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

For new jump comics 3 days worth. Naruto, kuroko and Ac were leaked tho, these 3 had 1 more day. (In enough stores to do 1-3 in the daily)

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

hahaha We posted at same time.

Btw, glad to see Haikyuu with all volumes. And what a boost to Nisekoi.

[Leoat12]

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

Nisekoi will finally reach 300k next week. It almost surpassed volume 11 sales in two weeks.
Another one that deserves its sales is Owari no Seraph. I'm curious to see how much it will sell after getting an anime, probably as much as Ao no Exorcist.
No commentaries about Haikyuu!!, just that Kuroko is threaten to lose his throne.

Arslan Senki sold well and it is doing very well on the daily rankings. Arakawa's power...

[TXC]

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

Low nisekoi sales, unless it has a fourth week it doesn't stand a chance to reach my 320k prediction.

Well one can always hope for manga growth post anime.

At least s2 is likely, that will help in the future.

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

S2's rarely help.

Low nisekoi sales, unless it has a fourth week it doesn't stand a chance to reach my 320k prediction.

Higher than volume 11, after the same amount of time: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2014-03-20/japanese-comic-ranking-march-10-16

Not much higher, but sales are not low. Nisekoi probably will sell within this range from now on.

[TXC]

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

I know all that, hell nisekoi 12 did about 4k less in 10 days than nisekoi 11 in 20 days worth. (Less days in the first week) But that was still my prediction. And it does help, not as much but it does (and prevents selling less). Doing some calculations with easily compared series, even reaching 300k is in doubt after this week...

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

One punch man continues to impress me. This volume in less then two weeks almost equalled what its last volume did in a span of 4 weeks. (10k less copies sold.) Im sure it'll go up by a decent amount in the incoming weeks, before it falls off the charts. At least I hope it does.

Good sales for Niseko, last volume dropped off at under 300k would be nice to see this volume go over that marker.

Seriously interested to see what the average volume sales for Haikyuu! will be come September, or whenever the anime ends.

Haikyuu! is alreay over 4million sales. I say it will be in the top 3 first haft best selling manga sales.

You're probably confusing the total of the series with how much it did in this year.
Haikyuu!! only sold, in this year, around 1,271,442 copies(probably a little more given that some weeks some volumes didn't ranked in Oricon, but probably sold something).
Haikyuu! 4 Million is the last report of total copies printed of the series, but by now is certainly more given that in average there are +500k copies per volume, so +5 Million copies of the series.

Haikyuu!!'s last printing was actually 5.5mln

No Game No Life and Kagerou Days still riding high. Old Mahouka volumes are starting to fall out of the charts. Still nice to see a boost for such good novels. Good to see Eromanga Sensei chart. Volume one was pretty good, I'm looking forward to reading volume two.

[SharkBait]

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

With Oregiaru selling that much I wonder which party wanted another anime for it.

In any case, since Mahouka was already a large seller, its rate of selling legacy volumes is probably due to many already having it (unlike say, No Game No Life), even 5K seems good if it keeps that pace or so. End of the Year volume sales will be interesting for many of these series.
