More pictures for Murata's new work has revealed:

It looks like he wants to do the Medieval fantasy series.

Yeah.. IMO JUMP just wants to go into the Shingeki No Kyojin wagon before it gets too old.. You know the trend like how penguins are hot now on movies.

Was it confirmed that it will be serialized in JUMP?

Damn, I really love Murata's colors and art style in general. That Koi-mermaid got me.:hurr

Not yet, he still didn't announced which magazine his new work will be released. I upload this information in this thread because he is one of famous Jump authors.

I see. Though it's likely that it will be. And that question was from the post above me since perroloco talked about Jump riding the medieval SnK-type of series being a hit, so I wondered if it was confirmed. :p

I don't care what magazine it is serialized in, that is amazing art. Murata really knows how to draw. I'll definitely give his new series a try whenever it comes out.

It is a databook book for One Piece which focuses on One Piece's setting.

Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2011] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 2

I had been thinking about this before, but seeing how it's even featured in the upcoming Jump NEXT! I just have to pose this question: What exactly is the deal with Asou's Chounouryoku-sha Saiki Kusuo no PSI-nan? It's been featured as a one-shot in, like, five issues of WSJ and another time in Jump NEXT! Summer, I think.

So, should we consider it part of Weekly Shounen JUMP's series line-up, as a series with irregular releases (like Hetappi Manga Kenkyuu-jo R back then), or treat it as individual one shots whatsoever?
What would you guys say? :)

Hetappi's case, Jump officially announced that it would be a monthly.

However, for Saiki Kusuo's case, some people consider this series as irregularly serializing series. But, Jump editors call this series as the pheonix one shot; I think this means this one shot will always return and never dies. :P

It's probably also a way to not bind a mangaka to the magazine, pay less for the same amount of work. Isn't it?

About PSI, do the chapters follow a chronological order? Or they are just one-shots?

Some comments,

Naruto & One Piece: Good to see it above One Piece! The previous few chapters have not been much interesting with Noah falling and all.Compared to that,Naruto's chapters have been quite interesting!

Bakuman: Bakuman has been doing really well in the rankings hasn't it? The new series of Ashirogi is being received well.

Gintama: Gintama also seems to be doing really well.I haven't caught up to it yet but glad to see it high up there!

Beelzebub: Wow that was a surprise! It totally rose from the bottom 5. I wonder if what everyone's talking about the "training arc" got over in the chapter being ranked.

Reborn: Reborn hasn't been ranked in the top 5 for a past few weeks.Seems the initial excitement of the Curse of the Rainbow arc has faded.

Hunter x Hunter: Glad to see it rising again! I just wish it enters the top 5 and also Togashi sensei doesn't disappoint us with a hiatus :(

Bleach: It's really sad to see a manga which was once a top 3 (and also a so called "Flagship of Jump" by Shuujin :P ) is faring badly. It needs to move away from this arc soon so as to not disappoint its followers!

And finally

ST&RS: It's such a disappointment that fans aren't voting for ST&RS! I've been liking it,it's not that bad at all! Seems a series which is not "Jump like" wont survive in Jump after all...

With the epic chapter that just came out, it's not surprising. Here's hoping for an ultra-epic CP.
Especially with the Bijuu awesomeness and all.

HOORAY BEELZEBUB RISES :wtf bleach being in the bottom doesnt surprise me it deserves it with the crap kubo pulling now. it really looks like st&rs is going to get axed and so is harisugawa from what i seen of the latest chapter shame i was liking it. if hxh doesnt go on break again then i assume magico will be axed which will be a shame i really been enjoying it :(. oh and any word on the medaka box anime info what was coming this issue?

Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2011] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 2

wait, what..? Bleach CP again?
Hmm..not sure how to see this.
and beelzebub is out of the bottom 5 :wtf totally deserves that and a lot of people called this :XD
Bleach..well, that doesn't look good but kubo should expect this..and maybe even worse. Here's hoping it raise.
and great, nura is at the bottom again :notrust.
I think the volume sales are the only thing keeping nura from getting booted. That, and the other new series.
Kurogane and mirror world seems to be fairing well, I like Kurogane so I look forward to its place in the ToC everytime.

"When the Shinigami return Bleach will be in the top three again." I think that is officially bunk, unless "top" was a misspelling of "bottom".

Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2011] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 2

Interesting week. Naruto's newer chapter's have been improving a bit, so it's nice to see it take the top spot for now, and it;s cool to see Beelzebub out of the bottom five. Meanwhile Bleach is in the bottom five, but boy does it deserve it. Maybe this will encourage Kubo to actually start writing seriously again.

Kinda sad to see that St&rs is pretty much primed to be the next series to go since it was so interesting, and it still seems like only a matter of time before the other new series join it sadly...
