I think that Nisekoi and Kurogane are getting some color pages not much because of popularity... I guess it's for prepare the ground for the endings in this year. Jump gonna lose a lot of "big-salers" in a short period, so it's better to have some "emerging series" to fill the blanks left.

Considering this final Arc will contain

- The secret of Ichigo's birth
- Why Ichigo and Kaien look so similar
- The deep bond between Isshin and Ryuken
- The Captain of the Zero Squad
- Possible Espada reappearances
- The meaning of the "true blood"
- Something going on with Mayuri and the Central 46
- Spirit King
- Toshirou and Renji's perfected Bankai
- Something around the time when Kenpachi became Captain
- What happened to Hiyori
- Fighting against (strong) enemies
- New Bankai reveals
- Urahara and Yoruichi's relationship
- The end of BLEACH itself

And much more that I doubt Kubo revealed in the interviews. I would say...... 2 years at the absolute least. It could maybe even last upto 5 years, if not longer.

Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2011] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 2

and don't forget, the explanation why bleach is called bleach! =)

why should people think that bleach will end in 1 oder 2 years. look at the last arc which remained quite i bit and this was only the transition arc to the new one. look at how long the battle with whitebeard gone in one piece or at the great war currently in naruto. they mostly contain fighting scences and we are far away of these epic battles. there is enough content for 2 years to only get to this point and then another 2 years for the fights. just guesses but i don't see a reason for something short when the mangaka said himself, that he wants to contiunue for another 10 years...

For the first time in a long time I'm actually looking forward to Bleach. I really hope this arc will be awesome - Soul Society arc quality. I hope the arc will focus more on story than on thousands of cool fights.

Zeromcd: You got me really pumped with that list of loose threads in Bleach.

There's no way Bleach will end in 2 years. My guess is 6-8 years :)

Well, if Kubo isn´t stretching the arc to much with Chapters like "1 Chpater = 1 Attack in slow motion", then he could end it in 3-4 years ( maximum ). But if he do it, then 6-8 years is the right.

Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2011] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 2

All my favorites ranked well this weak except for Kagami. So maybe the rumors are ending might be true.

Since Kurogane is getting many color pages, I'm surprised that it is not getting a lead color page.
Am surprised as well but I think it will get one soon though.

Oh, Bleach is back next week son!:) I like the sketch for the Lead CP. I wonder who the two figures behind Ichigo are.

I doubt that. I give it another 8 years really.

Is that for sure the correct spot for Medaka Box in the toc? Just asking since it wasn't in the Japanese toc list. If that is Medaka Box's ranking, Me no likey! :(

Sad to see Kagami potentially leave :'(

It looks like Kubo is staying true to his word. It will still take another five years for this arc to be over, but I'm glad that we're getting somewhere.

In Japanese ToC list, it was written in beside Nurarihyon.

I would assume that is incorrect. Ohana always adds cancellation news in the next issue preview. Usually news regarding cancellations is known well in advance. Most likely the proprietor of that site is only reporting an unverified 2CH rumor. On occasion Ohana will forget to post news but I can not recall the last time she missed a cancellation.

So Bleach is finally going to enter its final arc? About time! I am fan of Bleach, in fact I've been reading/watching it for a long time, but I think we can all agree that Kubo shouldn't drag the series any longer. Here's hoping that the new arc will be as great as the Soul Society arc. As for how long this arc is going to be, I'm thinking that it would be long as the Hueco Mundo/Winter War arc but it will definitely be longer than Soul Society.

Toriko in 1st place? Not much surprise there :hip

On the other hand, I'm expecting a quick drop for Beelzebub soon, and a rise in the Medaka Box ranking.

Kubo has already explained why it is called bleach already.
"Tite Kubo himself ( the creator of bleach ) gave two reasons to calling it that. One was a symbolic reason. As the soulreapers cleanse souls, it's like they are "bleaching" their souls. Like how bleaching in a clothes sense means to remove stains and blemishes, the shinigami remove sin and corruption from the souls. The other reason he gave is because "Bleach" was the name of his favorite Nirvana (thats right, kurt kobain nirvana) album. "

SS arc: 2003-2006 (best arc imh)
HM arc: 2007-2011 (long and boring arc, expecially the last part until the final fight)
He could draw all those things in 4 years... 8 years are TOO MUCH...

Ohana didn't post that Enigma was cancelled.

I don't think it was until a couple of days later, after the TOC was already released that we got confirmation on Enigma's cancellation.

So, is that means the Kagami has ended on Issue 10 and Kanou going to put another chapter on Issue 11 to show what happened after?

Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2011] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 2

Glad to see Toriko manage to even come out on top of both One Piece and Naruto. Glad it continues to compete with the top.

lol @ Bleach's "final arc". That garbage Arrancar arc lasted more than four years. Bleach won't be ending before 2016 let alone next year unfortunate as that is.

Glad to see Sket Dance in a pretty good position this week and I'll be hoping Medaka manages to bounce back up although it pretty much has cancellation immunity right now. I've warmed up to Kuroko in comparison to when it first started so though its in the same situation as Medaka I kind of still would like it to rise a bit.

Everything points to Harisugawa being gone so I'm not really surprised by it bottoming out this week. Liked the series but Kanou screws the readers over yet again. I expect it along with St&rs to go. Magico could go either way but staying away from the bottom 5 the last month probably spared it this time around. It isn't in an ideal position still but it is going to need more rankings like that in order to continue on much longer. As opposed to just dying the next time around.
