Haven't read enough of them to make a list yet but Murahagane looks right up my alley. Would love to see that as a series.

I really like Murahagane too. It's actually the GFC One-Shot I like most so far out of those I read. I really want to read Hungry Joker now, though, because everyone are rating it first. It didn't get scanlated did it?

SINS was far to childish, does he have to rob a bookstore after every fight?^^
Takamagahara had funny murals, nothing else exciting.
Murahagane had to much senseless destruction, what about the lives and families destroyed by those shoots? Oo
Tsukimi no Soba has typical ecchi shounen elements, with funny elements, could have potential for WSJ.
Wolf X Red: A lot happened, many panels, could be good for a series if a bit more structered.
Hungry Joker: Nice premise, funny character with a possible goal, my favorite.

about murahagane: why does every hero eat so much? not sure before goku, but everyone after him has this characteristic. naruto, ruffy, gon, natsu, soul, ...

not sure why this is such a big deal. i understand that it's a common cliche for the main character to be a loser with some kind of talent, who get's better through friendship, but eating a alot has nothing to do with story concepts and so on. i can see it just as a homage, but not sure why mangaka don't try to differentiate themself to be more "unique".

It's a trope that doesn't harm anyone and who wouldn't like to eat so many tasty things?^^ I'm quiet sure that Obelix[Asterix & Obelix :o] had done that even before Son Goku. stealth edit :D Seems like even Saya from Blood-C is a one of them.

A quick search later: the trope BigEater.

In Plautus's plays, table-companions (a peculiar Roman institution, also called "parasites") are played as comically large eaters, making this Older Than Feudalism. Ergasilus in Captivi, given the run of Hegio's kitchen, causes an uproar not unlike those common in The Slayers.
It may be one of the oldest tropes every created. haha

Murahagane was kinda meh for me, I wasn't particularly enthralled by any of the oneshots, but I'm looking forward to Kurogane

Murahagane was good, but could use some touching up.

Murahagane: A little too cliche for my taste, but still good.
Kurogane: My favorite out of them all, I'm confident it will work in Jump. Jump really needs a good sword fighting manga.
SINS: Not interesting enough compared to the rest.

You should remeber that Kurogane is sport manga, not action.

Considering that it has to do with a sword style rather than kendo, it can easily slide into a battle manga without much suspension of disbelief should it ever have to.

Posted on the HXH thread, but X posted here for interest.

New Seiyuu confirmation. Keiko Han will be playing Mito. If the last name sounds familiar (which it should.), It's because her daughter Megumi Han is playing Gon. Irony much?

Koujina Hiroshi will direct.
Maekawa Atsushi will be the screenwriter.
Yoshimatsu Takahiro will be the character designer.

And as we all know, Madhouse will be the animator. That is all for now that has been confirmed....anything else should be treated as speculation.

And Kurogane is not a GFC entry this year. It's a winner of the 3rd Manga Carnival.

Based on looking at preview page, I don't think it will go to action manga, rather it might be similar to Hikaru no Go.

I don't think Manga Carnival is meant for competition of newbie mangakas. Therefore, I don't think Kurogane is winner; it got serialized because it got good reception, not because it wins.

Oh, then let me rephrase it with "Kurogane is not a GFC entry this year but from JUMP's Third Manga Carnival." :eyeroll

Anyways, when I read the oneshot, I got the feeling it might take the path of action manga if ever it stays long.
