Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2011] - Discussion and TOC Talk

Download all the latest WSJ chapters here!
(Note: The above list is automatically generated based on latest releases and availability of chapters on MH.)

What is this thread about?
This thread started in 2006 as a scan archive for Weekly Shounen Jump (WSJ) manga. It was essentially a place for all raws from WSJ that didn't have their own R/T/S threads here at MangaHelpers. Over the years, many members (including The Touch, xi0, Kylara, Asakura, Sai_the_Shaman, Waeyen, and Heiji, to name a few) have been helping out in this thread by scanning covers, ToC pages, previews, and sharing the raws they found or scanned.

With MH's upgrade to v2.3, there's no longer a need for a separate scan archive. This all new 2011 thread will be for you, the fans, to discuss whatever you like about WSJ! Predominantly, discussions will be centered around the ToC ranking that's posted weekly. You can also post the magazine covers and preview pages in this thread.

What is the ToC ranking?
ToC stands for Table of Contents. It's found on the last page of every issue of WSJ, but more importantly, the order the series appear in on the ToC is closely related to the popularity of the series. This is determined by polling the readers; there is a polling postcard in every issue of WSJ.

Each week, a certain guy from 2ch writes out TOC for the following week's Jump. TOC order is usually based on polling result of readers, thus you will know how your favorite series are doing based on the order.

Some exceptions etc:
- For the 2nd-8th chapters, TOC is already decided, though it could change depends on readers' ranking.
- The TOC is affected by the popularity of 8 chapter ago.
- Shueisha's aiming their main target as elementary and junior high school students, thus, their votes weigh probably more than others (fangirls).

How can I find out what series runs in WSJ?
Click HERE for a list of all the current series running in WSJ. Each link will lead you to more details about the manga, and where you can find translations for all your favourite series! You can also find past series in WSJ by changing the Status filters on that page.

Where are the past WSJ threads?

2011-26 Bottom 5 by T

Dois Sol
HnS
Segoku
Grimm
Kuroko

So both Mago and Medaka are out of bottom 5 this week

[Finestela]

More from T:
2011-27 Lead CP: Sket Dance
CP: Magico, Bleach
1-shot by Asou (the Psychic manga again)

[Josl]

CP: Magico, Bleach

So is the spoiler true that you posted a while ago because Magico gets a color page?

And yeah, Bleach pimping has begun once again

[Finestela]

So is the spoiler true that you posted a while ago because Magico gets a color page?

And yeah, Bleach pimping has begun once again

Nope, it actually showed that the spoiler was made up, since it specifically said that Magico is getting "lead color page" instead of just regular Color Page.

I'm still really baffled by the guy who made it up. Most people on 2ch would push the prediction to like 1 month away, so that people would bring it up every now and then until it's proven false. This guy, however, actually wrote about things that's to come in the coming week, thus making proving/disproving it much easier.

--------------

And OP will be on break next week.

[BBB Banana]

Haha Mago is out of the botom again

Kuroko is on it though

Epic Naruto cover that was

[jorped]

I still didn't quite understand the cover of Naruto
But the most important isn't the cover but yes the coloured pages

Magico is getting a lead colour page in the next issue
I recommend everyone to start reading Magico , cuz it is a good manga with a lot of potential

[Asclepius]

oh, hahaha.
History being made. Another manga kicked OP from number one and it wasn't Naruto.
Nice, nice.

[BBB Banana]

It happens from time to time asc

Nice to see Belze high again it has been a while iirc.

Nice TOC.

[come come paradise]

KHR 4th again, woot o/
Heh, OP beaten by Toriko, doesn't happen very often :P

How come Ohana and T's bottom 5 are different?
edit: Nvm, they're the same, T's is just from bottom to top orz /feels stupid

[Finestela]

hmm... Enigma is REALLY low in this one...
Now it's making me doubt my doubts toward the supposedly disproven predictions... If Reborn does get the 2011-28 Lead CP, then... *Shrug*
Seeing how high Reborn is this week, I would not be surprised if that happens.

[ruggia]

Magico's in a nice spot, and Mago's staring to recover
Enigma's pretty low this week.

who is Asuo?

[jorped]

oh, hahaha.
History being made. Another manga kicked OP from number one and it wasn't Naruto.
Nice, nice.

Toriko kicked One Piece from First Place ?
It has really being doing great so far, but even though i find this suspicious and weird

And how the well is Beelzebub higher than Bakuman
I don't like at all

Nice to see Magico in such a good spot.
Enigma is not doing so well lately , maybe it can really get cancelled if things keeps this way

[Finestela]

Magico's in a nice spot, and Mago's staring to recover
Enigma's pretty low this week.

who is Asuo?

And Magico having another CP is just pure <3<3<3

Asou is the author of Yuushagaku.

[Tulkas]

The whole FI-Arc sucks imo.
Im disappointed and it looks like many readers thinks the same way.

Didnt read reborn since the end of the Future-Arc, so i cant sayif it deserves a top 3 position.
Good for Mago to be out of the bottom 5, good sign that it happens before the second season. on the other hand the competition isnt really hard.

[come come paradise]

Hmm, I have two stupid questions:

1) Is Magico pronounced Majico (as in the English "magic") or Maguico? I've been saying the former but I'm kinda starting to wonder.
2) Bleach's 10th anniversary is this year, right? Does anyone know what month? Will we be getting lots of tributes and stuff like it was the case for OP? That could be the cause of the sudden re-pimping.

If Reborn does get the 2011-28 Lead CP, then... *Shrug*
Seeing how high Reborn is this week, I would not be surprised if that happens.

That would be lovely if it happens, it's been a while after all.

The katakana is written to pronounce it as the former (Majico)
