Only thing that really would make this week for me is the true rank of Bleach if it weren't for the color page...other than that it isn't too bad of a week I feel.

Great to see Toriko in the top 3 again. Bakuman just missed the top 5 but it along with Sket have pretty good rankings this week. I'm glad Medaka rose a bit from its previous position. It could be higher but hopefully it will improve even more next week.

I'm not really interested in any of the color pages this week but its nice to see that the cannon fodder sports manga is coming out first. It means it should be right on time to take the fall for something else next cancellation round.

If anybody interested, I found a spoiler for chapter 1 of Dois Sol.

Based on the spoiler, I have a feeling that Dois Sol is like highschool version of Giant Killing.

Nice ToC, Toriko in 3rd was beautiful to see. And got surprised by the comeback reborn did.

Waiting to the raw of Dois Sol to see the reason of the title. (I also agree with Estranho and CrudeCross)

If that's true then sign me up! Giant Killing is a fantastic manga. Plus, the art doesn't look bad at all *really doesn't care grammar or logos*. So I'm just gonna cross my fingers that Jump finally pulls a good sports series outta their ass.

I kinda get why it's so weird for them not to have one though, at one point in 2002 they had five sports series running at once (Prince of Tennis, Eyeshield 21, Whistle!, Mr. Fullswing, Rookies). Ah the glory days.

I just do not understand why they're publishing another soccer manga... the last two soccer manga ended up in the bottom 5 right away. Nobody is waiting for another one.

isn't Light Wing still running, too?

Last three soccer manga actually, Meister, which started with Kuroko no Basket, ended with only ten chapters. And I don't think they are really giving thought to "This one is a soccer manga", most likely they are thinking along the lines of "Out of the series we have in front of us that we can serialize, this one has the best shot at being a hit" regardless of the fact that the last three soccer manga haven't cut it.

I dont get the bashing of footballmangas.
Sure, the last ones were bad, but not because of football, they were just bad mangas. As long as there are good characters i dont care about the sport.
ES21 wouldn't be so awesome without Hiruma.

No offence to the Japanese, but the fact is: The Japanese screw up English grammar, and they learn English in school. How can you expect them not to screw up another language they don't learn in school like Portuguese? :amuse

Sucks to see Mago still in the bottom 5, and boo for Toriko falling out of the top 2. Nevertheless, seeing it staying solid in the top 3 is already pretty good.

I'll wait to see how Dois Sol ranks (when it does get ranked) before picking it up if the rankings suggest its any good...

It's about time a language other than English was mauled. I'm still trying to figure out what a Double Arts is :s

If the new soccer series is from the POV of the coach I will read it. It will fail, Jump readers are to conservative for something like that, but it would be interesting. I assume the main character is the coach, otherwise comparing to Giant Killing would not make much sense.

But if you do that you miss some true gems that just aren't "Jump enough" to do well in the rankings like Hoop Men and Yotsuya. Both very original manga in both story and art, just sadly placed in the wrong magazine.

Always the same question. Which series will have the color pages in the issue #12?

Well, it is obvious that Dois Sol and Grim will get color pages in the issue 12.

Whoa that's some crazy schedule o.O btw it's "name" not "nemu" - the person who translated that obviously doesn't read Bakuman :p

@Drmke: true... okay, I'll bug you next time instead to tell me what new series are good ;)

Given how detailed his art is for a weekly shounen series I'm not too surprised. That kind of thing is gonna take a lot of time.

Remember when Mashiro had to be hospitalized in Bakuman? That was pretty realistic. Being a mangaka in a weekly magazine is grueling work. Togashi isn't actually lazy, he's sane.

Then, how about Akimoto? He never has taken one week break since he started Kochikame.

It's a pretty good week. :) Reborn is recovering (albeit having a Psyren moment recently) and Bakuman & Sket Dance are sitting comfortably in the middle zone.

I don't mind having three soccer series trying to be the next sports manga. The problem is that it's one right after the other so that's why there's uneasiness about a third one being serialized.

No offence to the Japanese, but the fact is: The Japanese screw up English grammar, and they learn English in school. How can you expect them not to screw up another language they don't learn in school like Portuguese? :amuse
They can always learn it elsewhere or in this case they can have someone who know the language to help out: KHR has an Italian guy for instance. I don't think a newbie will get aid right away so he might start out with his own knowledge of the language, in which case I understand why there are grammatical errors.
