Pure rankings:

1. One Piece
2. Naruto
3. Sket Dance
4. Bleach
5. Inumaru Dashi
6. Bakuman
7. Enigma
8. Gintama
9. Kuroko no Basuke
10. Beelzebub
11. Oumagadoki Doubutsuen
12. Hokenshitsu no Shinigami
13. Medaka Box

Unranked doesn't mean its placement doesn't have any meanings. Unranked means it's not competing with everyone else at a leveled playing field, but its placement means whether the current snap poll is good or not.
I think it is quite possible the Editors rank those unranked chapters. If they do, that can tell us what the Editorial Department thinks of the series.

I'm glad to see Magico doing so well :tem and wow...medaka really fell there..
Magico isn't ranked yet, so Magico's current placement don't have any meanings.

The series that gets cut early usually crashes down near the bottom during the unranked period (with very few exceptions), while those that have decent placement during the unranked period more likely to survive a few rounds.
Actually, it really doesn't have any meanings. I looked at axed series, like Metallica and Shonen Shikku, and lots of them placed within top 10 before they got officially ranked. However, as soon as they got ranked, they drop to bottom 5. So, the placements of new series before chapter 8 don't have any meaning.

so why write them down in the toc at all, when there is no reason for it? without them bakuman looks fine =)

And if you look at series that ranked "low" in the pre-chapter 8 rankings, you would see that they have a near 90% chance of going down.

So saying that it's meaningless is simply untrue. It shows that: 1) How badly it is 2) How much crazy pimping the editors is attempting.

If a series crashes out at Ch. 7 or 8, but ranked high in non-color 1~6, it means the editors were trying to pimp it. If a series started crashing at 1~6, it meas the editors has given up on it already. If a series ranked high in 1~6, and is stable after 7 or 8, then it means it's going to be alright.

*facepalm*

ToC: Table of Contents
It serves as a Table of Contents primarily. The "Ranking Results" duty is secondary.

YAY! Bleach is back in the top 5.:D Bakuman in 6th, not too bad. And what the hell is up with Beelzebub being the bottom 5!?:mad

Kishimoto's out as well, along two from Mago:

They both look good, especially Hiroshi's.

I'll admit, I'm not too surprised with beelzebub's current ranking, I found myself skimming through the video game stuff since it was kinda meh.

Rather amusing to see them have a Sket/Gintama collaboration. Kinda reminds me of the Toriko/One Piece collaboration in both anime and manga (though sket and gintama anime are connected by the trivial fact that they're both starting to air in the Spring... and have a certain someone voicing one of the leads)

If I'm not wrong, the Mangaka of Sket Dance was a former assistant of Hideaki Sorachi, the Gintama Master.

I'm not surprised that Beelzebub dropped to bottom 5 and Nurarihyon being stayed in bottom 5. The recent chapters for Nurarihyon and Beelzebub are not much interesting.

Honestly, the current arc of Oumagadoki is much better than both of them; furthermore, new series (except Grimm because I'm not reading it) are actually more interesting.

I agree that people really shouldn't assume anything about Grimm/Magico's rankings yet. If you look back a bit Metallica and Shikku ranked fifth and sixth on the exact same chapters, and plummeted immediately afterwards.

Early rankings can sometimes indicate how a series is going to do, but they're not consistent.

It's sort of the same way "no news is good news". If the 1-6 rankings isn't down in the toilet, then there's no "hint of bad feedback".

As I've stated already, while having good 1-6 rankings doesn't necessary means success, having bad 1-6 rankings = 90% chances of early death.

How many people think Hanasaka Ikkyu going to be included on next new series line-up? It is kind of too early to ask question about upcoming new series.
