Yes, but in which ORDER? That's the big thing.
Will Kurogane or some other manga end first? What's gonna happen?

Issue 40 -> Pajama
Íssue 41 -> Bulge
Issue 42 -> Takama

Koisome and Kurogane will survive this round... is what I think.

3 series? Won't that mean 4 series will start (because of the extra room)?

I didn't read it, but it didn't seem like a premise that seemed like it could last a long time. It's possible the author didn't plan for it to go on too long.
But yeah, it's ending.

Sooo...

Takamagahara
Koisome Momiji
Sensei no Bulge

Taking all bets.

why do people believe that hungry joker will become a series. the author may tried something else, otherwise we would probably already heard about it.

Hungry joker was not even the best of its bunch in my opinion. Also I don't think koisome will end just yet, the rankings are not that bad in general.

i just read the latest chapter of beelzebub and thought it was great/funny. maybe it places a bit longer out of the bottom five, even with canceled series.

Apparently Gintama is getting a movie written by Sorachi, a completely new story, in 2013:
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2012-08-22/gintama-gets-2nd-film-written-by-manga-creator

Also the anime being rerun in October. Not new episodes though, looks like a Yorinuki Gin-san thing.
I don't have that particular page in my raws so I couldn't tell you for sure though. Once a public raw comes out on Saturday we'll know for sure what it says about the anime. Assuming somebody scans that page. But if the anime was continuing with new stuff it would probably be a lot bigger. And it's kinda way too early to be starting again, that will have been 6 months since it ended last time. I'd expect they'd restart the anime along with the restart of the movie to try to generate excitement. It'd be keeping up the recent trend (Thermae Romae and Uchuu Kyoudai did the same thing.) and the "movies written by the author" thing as well. Both of which have been successful.
Ok.... now this is getting ridiculous.... What the heck is with this trend?? at this point, I won't be surprised if Kubo writes another movie next year. On another note, I expect that there's going to be massive parodies of this year's movies and a 4th-wall breaking moment where Gintoki declares the movie will beat this year's movies.

What is so ridiculous? It is in the mangaka's best interest to write the script themselves, when given the opportunity. By writing the script mangaka get paid more money and retain creative control over how their product is adapted. What is so difficult about that to understand?

I think it even is a nice trend. I prefer having a movie written by the author himself than filler crap which contradict the main storyline (even if it's not that important since it's still only a movie). And really, who wouldn't watch a movie written by Sorachi?

Well for those who, like me, are not that interested in anime or film adaptations of manga, then it is not really a good trend. Since it generally means more weeks with the manga absent from the magazine...

I do believe Kubo's recent illness was Bleach's only recent absence. Nor do I recall Naruto taking more time off than usual. Oda generally takes a few weeks off per year anyway, he may have taken one or two more than usual this year, and that is not necessarily attributable to the movies.

It's a great trend, it makes a lot of sense and everyone love it, but I can somehow see dangers in just how quickly it became so widespread, too. Right now, any Jump movie which will be announced without the mangaka's script will instantly have that fact held against it.

That said it's a really good choice and definitely better than just making normal movies again. But they need to be careful not to go too hard too fast on the idea.

That's a bit of a hollow complaint in my opinion. The work will stand on its merit whether the mangaka is involved with it or not. I would hope fans wouldn't be less or more critical of a movie solely based their involvement.
