I think a vomic would only have some kind of influence if it was aired on tv during a tv show or something
Vomic does air on TV; it is airing during Sakiyomi JumBang.

i'd say Vomics are more an indicator of how well a series has done rather than something that causes it to do well. Still, exciting for voice actor nerds.

Also to pipe in on the older train of thought the existence of a "big three" is a laughable matter based on titles that were making an impact internationally (something that Shueisha themselves are unlikely to notice, considering how atrocious western manga sales can be. Sure, three or so titles tend to be put at the front of group shots, but that's naught but the result of market research. those are the faces kids are more likely to know and to want to read the stories of. Marketing is clever like that.

Alright.

And yeah, that's what I thought, but I suppose vomics have some kind of influence?
None.

Vomic does air on TV; it is airing during Sakiyomi JumBang.
The general Japanese viewing public isn't watching Jumpbang.

If a series lasts long enough, it gets a vomic. Other than Jump otaku, nobody in Japan cares.

Well imagine you're a creator, or even a devoted fan. Getting to see the characters you care about voiced by professionals on tv. it's like a hint of what could happen if you were animated, and is surely at least a little fulfilling.

so jump fulfilles otaku dream now? guess that would be quite nice of them and meaningless to get some more pocket money. i would understand if assassin gets something to offer the fans for the sake of saying: "yes, you made this one a big hit. have this nice wallpaper and other stuff that cost barely anything and feel good about it", but low tier series? there are to few fans for that and it doesn't promote anything. it just pleases otakus.

One doesn't have to be an otaku to see a good new series be voiced and colored.

We don't know nothing about Vomic effects to say that it's useless. Contract seiyuus costs money, if they do this to make vomics for years now, they get some profit with this certainly.

Little promotion for both the series and the seiyu, but it can't really have much more of an effect Imo.

Well, it is one of earliest media attention for the series and we can sense the idea on how the series will be look like when it gets an anime.

Plus, we don't know the number of access for vomic; it possibly has high access.

Well, as it hasn't been posted yet, I'll put the link for this week's sakiyomi jumbang here
It's about the newest serials in WSJ (Hachi, Cupid, Isobe), which kinda leads me to think that the editors have already given up on Kurokuroku and Hime-dol! and are trying to see if Hachi or Cupid can make a small comeback (just like WT and SC did)

That seems like an odd bet, I would, of those three, choose Hachi to push for survival, if I was the editor...

I'm not sure that is idea since Hachi is already doing bad, so there really isn't any point of pushing it.

The only one which sounds reasonable to push is Isobe, which has been pushed since the beginning for whatever reason. The other two are as dead as Kurokuroku and Hime-dol, but they won't be cancelled in the next round, at least one of them. Seems a desperate move and we don't know what kind of incluence Jump Bang has in the public.

Aren't the producers of the show aware that Hachi and Cupid are already on the brink of cancellation? So why do they bother promoting them? Why not just dedicate the entire show to Isobe alone, especially given how popular it already seems to be?

I know they've already promoted three new series at once on some prior episodes, but I don't think they've ever promoted them after it's already become obvious they're not going to make it very long.

If theyre being desperate now...then that doesnt really give me much hope that theres any good new series on the horizon.

Based on their current state, they pretty much going to end on early next year.

There really isn't much influence from JumBang.

I'm talking about Hachi and Cupid. Kurokuroku and Hime-dol are certain to be cancelled this year yet, but Hachi and Cupid, no. If bad rankings continue, they will be cancelled next year, almost in Febuary taking in consideration all breaks in this time of year.
