I didn't say A1 simply because it might be a bit faster paced but because they have been competent at adapting battle shounen .

Magi
NNT
were successful in terms of giving boosts to the manga and had somewhat stable TV ratings.


the first two are a bit old though.

Every single one of those shows were poorly adapted. Blue Exorcist and Magi had terrible anime original storylines and alongside NNT all were terribly rushed and made a lot of unnecessary changes (though honestly the first half of the Blue Exorcist anime is much better than the manga) so I wouldn't say they're competent but you're right in the sense that all had huge boosts and good ratings so A-1 or rather Aniplex must of did something right or maybe this was just another Tokyo Ghoul situation where a piss poor adaptation made people want to seek the original source of material instead?

I wouldn't mind A-1 for Black Clover actually. With how much they rush things, it might actually make Black Clover more enjoyable.

But please no for Toei doing Hinomaru. I think it's going to be Production I.G. Probably after they finish Haikyuu s3.

I have small hopes for Black Clover. I know it's beating Hinomaru but Hinomaru will be cool to see animated. It's not as generic as BC which is probably the most bland manga I've seen in the magazine for a very long time. BC is not that great for me.

Why not Toei? IG could do it but Toei isn't so bad. Toei has done wrestling series before and Hinomaru falls under it. Obviously not the same as Tiger Mask or Kinnikuman but I think they can handle the series well. Hinomaru could probably even be long running by the time it gets it's anime.

Toei wouldn't treat it well in my opinion and Hinomaru is more of a critical darling than a commercial success so I doubt Toei would have much interest in it but then again I can say the same for I.G. who only go for sports anime with the most fujoshi potential. MAPPA tends to go for anything so maybe them plus they do a good job in general.

The best thing about Hinomaru is the pacing.
Toei cannot into pacing.

Probably an ending, considering the latest chapter. Plus there's nothing else it could be apart from a game or something. Well actually, I guess they could adapt the last arc that finished a few weeks ago into anime. It was pretty long after all.

I doubt more anime is "surprising" at this point, but what shounen magazines consider newsworthy seems to vastly differ from that of what the readers who enjoy said magazines think.
