If you are not a fan of romances, slice of life and school life mangas, it is normal you don't know it. Valentine's day is more important, but White Day is mentioned in many of them. As I said, expand your horizons! XD

All you ever needed to know about White Day is that it's just an excuse for another obnoxiously fake "romance holiday" (because one is never enough).

And Hero's covers don't actually look Western, they are just using them for inspiration. Hero's art style is manga to the core just occasionally using the American comic format for covers and such.

White day is only "celebrated" in japan, cause valentinsday is supposed to be female only and on white day the boys return the favor. Everywhere else valentinesday is mutual love giving.
