Makes sense considering how popular MHA is here in America. Kinda feel bad for the Kingdom fans who wanted a physical release though.
I dont know why people thought it would be a license announcement, considering itd be far more likely for them to have announced kingdom during a panel at a con, also I doubt they would anyway since its so many chapters (560+ chapters, right???), unless people want another large Omnibus release Kurobas style.Makes sense considering how popular MHA is here in America. i thought manga authors go to Europe all the time, and the Europe cons are so much easier to attend and smaller and more intimate.Would love to meet Horikoshi, but I'm sitting over here in Ireland so the news doesn't mean that much for me. It's still cool that they're bringing him over. Hopefully Viz record the panel with him, like they did with Matsui(assuming there will be one).
Kingdom also doesn't have any sort of fan presence in the US unfortunately which can be blamed by the shitty anime. Also a big announcement like this used for something like Kingdom??? fans were setting themselves up for disappointment.
The Reborn manga flopped hard in the US that Viz cancelled it and anime doesnt have much of a following here either for them to even give it a consideration.I was hoping itd have been Captain tsubasa streaming in america...or Katekyo Hitman Reborn getting an engdub...or HeroAca movie getting a theater release here.
they had put it up on hulu/vizanime so i was hoping theyd have done a bit more with it but,The Reborn manga flopped hard in the US that Viz cancelled it and anime doesnt have much of a following here either for them to even give it a consideration.

Really? I had no clue. Guess they held the license for it but never gave it a domestic release same with Eyeshield 21.they had put it up on hulu/vizanime so i was hoping theyd have done a bit more with it but,![]()

To be fair the only people I've seen/heard complaing about Mineta is people on 4chan and reddit so I'd say its about a 60/40 split on whether they bother Horikoshi about Mineta.I swear, if I hear people harassing Horikoshi about Mineta, I'm going to.
Sorry but NUMBAH WUN is better in both regards the fact that they put the original OP as the ED was brillant to say the least. Showed a lot more respect to the legacy of the franchise than CHU has done.Well if we're talking about songs, then BC's OP wins this season. If it's the OP as a whole then CT wins pretty easily.
America people cosplay Mineta, so #MinetaHate is pretty much a vocal minority thing online.I swear, if I hear people harassing Horikoshi about Mineta, I'm going to.
They cool guys running the accounts nowMost the time when they say they have a "Big Announcement" it feels like it's always something like "we have new merch in the store", or something underwhelming.
I love Viz as a company. Just saying the "Big Announcement" actually was something big, and not something underwhelming
Problem is that what is considered "big" is different to various people. Getting a famous mangaka from a popular manga series to come overseas is less important than licensing a decade old seinen manga that most people outside Japan have never heard of? Hardly but my condolences nonetheless. This isnt close to when they announced big news and it turned out it was them confirming that they had licensed a show for streaming....months after it finished airing on Crunchyroll. Most the time when they say they have a "Big Announcement" it feels like it's always something like "we have new merch in the store", or something underwhelming.

Why bleach and kingdom tho? I'm unaware of the reason of this chaos. So many Bleach and Kingdom fans triggered under that viz tweet. Can’t relate.
Kingdom fans thought that for some unknown reason the big announcement would be a localization of the Kingdom manga and are now salty that it wasn't. No clue why Bleach fans are butthurt again. Why bleach and kingdom tho? I'm unaware of the reason of this chaos.
