Yeah due to early leaks Viz is never going to be able to truly compete with pirate sites since they'll never be able to release at the same time (unless Shueisha cracks down really hard on people breaking street date or something).

It's definitely a step to getting more readers I think but they'll never be faster/more convenient than fanscans with new chapters, and speed is all that matters to quite a lot of readers.

I don't mind the change, only wishing there is a way to pay at least annually (don't care about discount ),

also 10,000+ chapters, if I still have 7 months of subscription left (including the extra 3 months they gave out) and I pretty sure I've read a majority of Jump at this point, there even less a point to subscribe after I've read all of it

100 chapters cap a day is easy. I've read series longer than that in a day.

The announcement wasn't what I was expecting, but I'm not disappointed. I prefer the official to fan translations, so it's nice if I want to revisit some series that I don't have the issues for. I still hope they start simulpubbing more series soon.

Mangastream has the early release advantage. They probably knew about this, which is why Neverland is now released Fridays instead of Mondays.

Nah they only started releasing on Fridays because JB is releasing it as well.

Region locking is Shueisha's decision though, not Viz. They can't distribute anywhere without Shuiesha's permission.

Are you really going to import catalog volumes of your favorite series from jpn? That'd get expensive fast unless you're in the 1%. I'm unaware of if a digital vault for jump series exists in jpn.
