Have read the first 2 chapters of Act-Age. I did enjoy it, and I like the whole idea of "dangerous" acting can be for the mind of an actor/actress. Though I feel as if this whole concept and idea would work better for a seinen, because I dont know if something like this can work in a shounen. It's at least not an idea I would consider for a shounen manga, I must admit.

Well, this is more a case of popularity than planning, but, Arale was supposed to be just a special guest on Dr. Slump. Senbe was the MC. But her reception was so good that Toriyama changed his mind. In the middle of the series, he returned to give attention to Senbe, and the popularity fell.
Oh yeah, didnt Toriyama also try to put Gohan in the position of the protagonist after Cell but changed it to Goku later on? Though I've read bc it was changed bc of fan backlash, you never know with Toriyama. Kinda sad in hindsight, that it wasnt Gohan who kept the role of the protagonist.

The day Kyoto Animation adapts a battle shounen is the day One Piece ends.

In order to get a proper speculation going on for Dr Stone and an anime for it, first I think we'll have to wait to see who adapts HZ, then we'll have to wait for anime announcements for Neverland and Kimetsu and then, probably we can start thinking about Dr. Stone. (inb4 Dr. Stone gets an announcement before both, am I right?)

But, Dr. Stone could be one of those special cases and get an adaptation super early. The thing is, there hasn't been that much progress in the story of Dr. Stone, so even if it got an adaptation early, it wouldn't really cover that much, think about it...

And as @De La Croissant pointed out, the pacing is always the scariest when it comes to adaptations.

Sunrise will be done with Gintama soonish? So, they might be on the look-out for another shounen series to adapt from one of the big weekly magazines, Sunrise did make City Hunter, Inuyasha, Gintama, Kekkaishi over the years and there's also Keroro Gunsou. They would pull it off nicely for sure, I have no doubt about it.

OLM seem to be focusing on kids anime, so I doubt they're gonna be solicited.

Lerche seem to be a weird choice, so why them? The did get the right idea on how to adapt Ass Class's style, but I don't know if they would fit Stone.

Bones are pretty ideal because of their flexibility with any art style and they're great at creating memorable vivid backgrounds. Enough said.

Toei would eh... Yeah, they'd do their thing, you know their thing. Their production quality might rise from now on because they moved over to their new HQ after having a three year lengthy moving process. But it's hard to be optimistic regarding them. Really hard.

Pierrot would eh... Yeah, they'd do their thing, you know their thing.

With Toei and Pierrot, it will really depend if they get stuff like HZ, Kimetsu no Yaiba, etc. Hopefully both escape that kind of a cruel fate.

Then you have Production I.G and WIT, which I'd say would be capable of pulling off a Dr. Stone anime nicely.

Then there's Madhouse, Mappa and J.C Staff, which all have question marks around all over.

Then you have other random studios, you know the drill...

There isn't really anything quite like Boichi's style done in animation, so it's hard to really say too much. They'd have to solicit a studio that will pay a lot of attention to the small details, you know, every small little creation and prop will need to be planned out for animation and Dr. Stone has a lot of that kind of stuff, I mean, a LOT, they'd need to get a good prop designer. Then you have the whole world, the crazy setting and the small village, which also need a lot of attention. Of course, scrap all the attention to the small details if they decide to go with the: IT'S A LONG-RUNNING ANIME from Toei and Pirrot! treatment, then yeah, we know what to expect from them.

And the most important issue is, what will Senku's hair color be, at the tips?

That's WIT. Kyoani did adapt A Silent Voice as a film recently, a shounen manga from Kodansha's Magazine.

You just know that if Pierrot got Dr Stone they'd ending up making it follow the intro MC and the girl, whatever their names were. Hopefully Black Clover keeps them occupied long enough that they can't get their claws on it (Kimetsu and Zumou should be safe at the very least).

True, lol, maybe that's why those two characters exist in the first place, they planned this in advance so they could start working on the anime early on. xD It's a master class plan.

And what gives you such confidence?

I wouldn't bet on Dr. Stone getting an anime at all. It's getting the Super Push treatment, but so far it's volume sales for it's first 4 volumes are worse than the first 4 volume sales of Black Clover, Yuragi Yuuna, WNL and Robot. The only manga which sold worse than Dr. Stone at 4 volumes was Kimetsu (ignoring Hinomaru ,because it is the eternal 30k king, and the axed/soon to be axed manga currently in the magazine), but at volume 5 Kimetsu started to grow and stayed for the first time for 2 consecutive weeks in the Top 50 with selling 65k in 10 days. Volume 7 did even better and sold 96k in 10 days.
If Dr. Stone can't even reach Kimetsu's sales does it deserve to get an anime?

Let's not joke, Noelle at least makes it useful from the early stages of the series. Sakura had to wait nearly 30 volumes for a decent fight.

Honestly of Black Clover you can say everything, but IMHO the female characters so far have not been used badly.
You're right that was out of hand of me. They have not been handled badly.

I think it will get an anime, hasnt every one thats survived for a year gotten an anime in the recent age of jump. (Spring Weapon anime has to be next on the list too).

Kimetsu is reaching it's 2nd anniversary and has no anime announcement.
Hinomaru had to wait for over 3 years until it got an anime announcement.

Nah, there's no way it won't get an anime. I see it as part of the new generation of WSJ and the whole educational aspect to it really lends itself nicely for younger people and an anime would be ideal to make the world come to life. Everything about Dr. Stone screams out shounen and it just feels natural for it to get animated.

HZ sold worse than Stone for 3 years and behold it's upcoming anime is right around the corner.

I particularly think that Production I.G can be out of the dispute to make the anime of Dr. Stone. I believe that Robot x Laserbeam will be made by Production I.G instead of Dr. Stone.

I would like Toei and especially Pierrot to stay away from Jump's new series.
Get up to date with Dragon Ball Super or even a new season for Bleach.
The important thing is for them to be very busy.
LOL

But to be honest, between Toei and Pierrot. I think Toei would be the best option instead of Pierrot.
Pierrot disappointed me a lot with Black Clover.

I'm no fan of either Pierrot or Toei, trust me. If the choice is between the two, it's a typical pick your poison type of scenario. It's not impossible for them to make good adaptations or anime, but when it comes to WSJ properties, they really outdo themselves oh which can do a worse job.

Even if RxL goes to I.G if it gets an anime, it's not like I.G can't do both if they're solicited and willing to do both projects.

I always kind of had the impression that Dr Stone would be another Black Clover. Pushed to the limits, but always disappointing growth wise. Though it seems it's doing even worse than that somehow. It's interesting because it has mainstream appeal and I do think it deserves to be selling better than it is, or at least growing. Really quite odd to me.

I don't think you can really use HZ as a basis for anything. It was a miracle for the series to even reach the 2 year mark, let alone start a whole new long-term arc three years in and then get an anime announced. It has some sort of luck, special treatment, or whatever you want to call it.

How about Wit Studio for Dr Stone? They have nailed the atmosphere for Ancient Magus Bride as well as the settings

If you really want to go with the HZ miracle idea, I'd call it, the Sumo Industry revival plan 101. I don't necessarily think it was a miracle for it to survive. I think HZ with BNHA was the start of the changing point the magazine would undergo not too long after these two started. HZ was very positively received along with BNHA when they started one after another. When it came to the sales, HZ never really went to the next level, but the manga was consistently delivering very high quality content. WSJ were desperate for new content that would go on for the next few years and they could only get Black Clover from 2015 and they failed to get anything else in 2014. WSJ knew that Naruto, Bleach, Toriko, Kochikame all had to end ASAP otherwise the magazine would suffer due to the lack of new IP's, things were too stale, for too long. Then, you add the fact that Nisekoi and Ass Class were also coming close to their conclusions and a massive gap would've been left in the magazine, just like that. Five of the manga I mentioned above finished in 2016. Imagine what would've happened if WSJ didn't have BNHA, HZ and well BC to have a minimum amount of content to keep people interested and engaged in the magazine? In 2016 WSJ was very lucky to get Kimetsu no Yaiba and Yuuna. You can see how hard it is for new manga to take off in this magazine.

Edit: World Trigger is also part of the new generation with HZ and BNHA I'd say, that would explain why they even animated it so early on. And think about it, WT went on indefinite hiatus near the end of 2016 and Kimetsu no Yaiba wasn't a guaranteed survivor, if WSJ hadn't gotten two new manga from 2016 to stick around for a while, WSJ would've been doing even worse when it came to content without WT in the line-up.

They'd be great, I usually link WIT together with I.G since they're basically part of the same group, I'm fine with either one of them, I consider their output to be more or less the same if they're on point.

As a one who stop Reading naruto after the chuunin exam and BC after the king appeared, both girl are in the same level, and only because I know the shit that happen to Sakura after I dropped it.I remember Ino vs Sakura more than any battle I read in Black Clover.

I've seen some rumors that Saiki might be getting closer to its conclusion because of the latest chapters, what are your thoughts on that?

Edit: If both Gintama and Saiki end at the same time, then we can expect a lot more comedies in the next serialization rounds.
