Gag manga sales is not counted, it is the kind of series that are made for the magazine, the popularity in the magazine is what matters although we cannot see it because they put it on the last place on purpose.

I was reading an interview with Toriyama and wondered which WSJ series he reads. If he still reads the magazine, of course. I remember that several years ago he said the only title he still followed was One Piece.

Adaptations are usually quick cash grabs by artists who haven't done anything before, so it makes sense for this one to be doing better. I remember the Kill la Kill manga had painfully bad art and ended really quickly after the anime did.

Don't open old wounds man, KLK is my favorite Trigger franchise, you can't imagine how disappointed I was after seeing the manga

speaking of adaptations, what happened to the Netflix Godzilla movie manga adaptation on Jump Plus? the movie already aired and the manga still haven't started yet

not that I look forward to anything with Urobuchi name on it...

Sales are always such an abnormality. Hard to believe AssClass reached its peak before the anime that there was next to no boost whatsoever whereas One Piece has had three boosts throughout its 20 year run and it was already a million seller before the anime. HxH was already a million seller before the 1999 anime yet still got a boost 12 years later with the 2011 series.

Was it? It seemed like it was a million copy seller after the 2011 anime.

Trigger is an anime studio that has its biggest revenue from the anime, of course, you are comparing oranges with apples and it doesn't make any sense. You did mention the studio and that's enough. Trigger most successful manga? They don't make mangas. o.õ
