Looks fucking ugly. If they don't want people to read this then they are doing a great job.

There probably is a niche for this as this artist seems to be rather famous in France as he's won some prizes and quickly glancing through his portfolio you can see why they commissioned him to draw this as his work tends to be rather "strange". However I do agree that his "eccentricities" do stand out a bit too much. Kaze must be betting on this getting big in the future though.

Don’t think this looks bad at all like others are saying.
Maybe I jus view it differently as a illustration major, but to me it’s just an artist drawing in his own unique style, and it’s cool looking. I think it’s just offsetting to ppl because it’s used for an official variant cover, and it so drastically different from the series’ artstyle.
Also, manga doesn’t usually have variant covers like western manga

Saddest cancellation will always be Takeshi for me. It went on for 24 volumes with no anime in sight but I felt like it wouldn't gotten one during it's final arc. It had an OVA alongside OP/HxH so it confuses me why Shueisha never gave it an anime treatment. Plus it even won the children's manga award in 2001 and I imagine it was selling very well since it had 8,000,000 copies in print after it's 24th volume.

Who cares about the ranking for Zumou; it's getting an anime. I'm pumped to see the backlog sales of a 20 volume series explode. I don't have huge expectations but I'd like to think it'd make the top 30 sales for once.

If it's production IG with a great staff then RIP all WSJ anime (excluding JJBA part 5). Like Miyazaki would shit his pants and probably drop his movie project if production IG picks it up. Your name's director would probably quit for good too if he witnesses a HZ anime by IG.

Still too early to proclaim PIG and sales reinvigoration. Also Welcome Ballroom, a PIG anime had great staff...and we see how that turned out. Forgotten and unexciting and no spark to reinvigorate it.

Good first ranking for actage. And damn, with Spring Weapon out, a bunch of manga will be in the bottom. Soma, Laserbeam and Zumou are already there.

They're selling more or less the same. I don't expect RxL reaching the same height as KnB but it could be hit if the fujoshi fandom jump on board during the anime's run. Anything can happen pretty much and Shueisha/WSJ probably understands that too. I would like to say that RxL is pretty safe for now even if the rankings are abysmal.

Popular in the front, axes in the back. Just because the editors know we're playing doesn't mean they've got real rules to this.
