Somewhat unrelated, I found this drawing session from Boichi at some convention in Italy from 2014.



He uses brushes to draw? That's fucking insane. He's probably one of the only mangaka out there that uses this style of drawing. This would explain his crazy output, but this requires an insane amount of talent to pull off regardless. This would also explain how he achieves his line work.

I'm talking about mangaka here, not comic book artists. The vast majority of mangaka use pens to draw and now digital artists are becoming more and more popular.

Boichi's work is very impressive, to me it's much more impressive than whatever a comic book artist can pull off, because his output is insane, he has two weekly serializations and he can keep up with them somehow.

Damn, this looks pale compared to Wonderful Wonder World. I had high hopes for him. But at the very least, WSJ is interested in him to keep giving him one shots.

Sad that Psyren is getting voted but not Takeshi . Takeshi is way more successful (award winning) and would be a great anime for kids, it has a lot of potential for success since I'm sure a lot of parents would tune in to watch it if they grew up reading Takeshi. All over a dumb scandal smh

Character animation was on point. I'm glad they went back on the older looking DB designs and ditched the stupid current ones.

If all goes well, we'll have it in 4 days at AnimeJapan. Heroaca has a special stage there both days so we'll probably get the 3rd PV and a movie trailer. It'll also help fire people up since the anime begins in 2 weeks.

Ok, longest Jump title with no anime is right now Rokudenashi Blues. And is one of top 20 most sold Jump manga. It's strange how it hasn't any anime series.

Saint Seiya's manga debuted December 3, 1985, anime debuted October 11, 1986. That's a bit less than a year.

I don't recall any anime announcement with fewer weekly chapters, though.
