Isn't TPN huge in France?Promised neverland is selling well outside of jpn? Apart from america who else has its volumes out?
are you sure? i thought the first volume of it only just came out there last month.Isn't TPN huge in France?
Very huge and especially since they finally got vol. 1 last month.Isn't TPN huge in France?
How much did v1 sell there? Impressive if its a million seller already in france.Very huge and especially since they finally got vol. 1 last month.
The French manga market is big, but not big enough for a series to sell a million or even print a million for a first volume as soon as it came out. If I remember correctly, the first print was around 100k or so there (correct me if I'm wrong), which is pretty massive for a new series. How much did v1 sell there? I honestly think that the rise of TPN has less to do with the authors and more to do with advertising. That's about 625k per volume, meaning we have a possible new million seller if the anime does well. And this is still about 8 months before the anime airs. It's possible that the manga could be average 700k+ per volume by the time the anime rolls around.
Makes me wonder if Jump will try more writer + artist duos now instead of having solo mangaka.
Yep it definitely shows the benefits of advertising a series excessively but at that same token it being good also helped it a lot.I honestly think that the rise of TPN has less to do with the authors and more to do with advertising.
In France, some said that the trailer for the first volume was shown before Infinity War.
Viz isnt even able to advertize monthly chapters of Platinum End on their own website or on social media like twitter. And then they say is sells badly. I dont expect anything of their marketing crew anymore. It'd be nice if Viz wasn't incompetent and we could get good advertizing in the states.
Series has the best potential for global popularity with a non manga enthusiast audience for a Jump series since Death Note nearly a decade and a half ago.

They have been looking for someone in marketing though so maybe advertising will get better soon.Viz isnt even able to advertize monthly chapters of Platinum End on their own website or on social media like twitter. Comixology does a better job of reminding you than viz. LOL--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---
Aside from France, I know that Germany has the first two volumes out now, release started in March this year, and Volume 3-6 already have slated release dates for the next seven months, published by the company that also publishes One Piece, MHA and Attack on Titan in Germany.Promised neverland is selling well outside of jpn? Unsurprisingly, another solid chapter. I wonder how many of these Jump Giga special chapters we are going to end up getting. Do the 4-koma strips at the end of each issue form a coherent story, or are they basically just small gags/jokes?The Disastrous Life of Saiki K first chapter from Jump Giga
