I have no clue. The key art makes it seem like production has begun with a set air date later this year since ufotable isn't really working on anything but Heaven's Feel and the upcoming Katsugeki film for next year.
Ufotable usually announce their shows an year before they air. They have a different model compared to most studios where they try to make sure everything is done in-house, a bit similar to Kyoto animation, so airing it in fall would be just asking for a production disaster to happen.
Katsugeki and Zestiria were announced 6 months before their premiere (Katsugeki still managed to have production problems despite that gap) Fate/Zero was announced 8 months before its premiere and God Eater was announced 5 months before its premiere. Their model isn't very different and their flubs largely tend to be because their time management isn't that good. UBW and Heaven's Feel are the only exceptions and the latter is a movie.

Interesting. So Aniplex is producing the anime and is part of the committee. In a space of one week they picked two Jump franchises when they never had before.
That was fast, though I guess this definitely means it wont a sort of long running show since the longest theyve got was magi.
Aniplex US Tweeted about Franxx pretty much from announcement to airing and Funimation or Crunchyroll got that so until they actually confirm they have it I personally won't consider it fact
