Like I said, it's because we cut corners, saving us literal hours per chapter. Typesetting and translating takes no time at all. That page with Tonbokiri someone posted just a few pages back we had to ruin by covering the original text with black bubbles because it probably would've taken an hour just to redraw the one page, and there's normally multiple pages of that stuff every time there's a fight. And that's the stuff we don't have anyone to work on, meaning we have to scab people to do bits here and there, so it’s not even a matter of lazy or not. We've always been capable of doing what we did this week if it came to it, but we chose not to because not only is it not fun, but it's devastating to ruin so many scenes like this. Though it seems clear no one cared in the first place, so we probably should've done it a while ago

.
That's the thing, most people really don't care about typesetting or good redrawing and such very much. Remember Panda with their massive intrusive watermarks and awful translations were one of the biggest groups for ages until their early leaker sources got arrested, and MS is still the biggest despite having borderline rewrites sometimes with their speed stuff. Now obviously those are extreme examples but still, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise.
Your speed stuff's way better than that obviously but when it's a choice between being caught up getting weekly chapters with good enough typesetting/etc or having very high quality stuff but being 30 chapters behind and growing getting just a chapter or two a month, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that the former is most people's choice.
Remember most of the people reading fanscans of stuff like this do it because it's their only option, we're not exactly getting high quality volume releases by viz or whoever here (I personally can read the raws but I'm still slow at reading japanese so I prefer translations if possible). The fact that a translation exists at all is what people care about rather than being too bothered about high quality stuff.
I understand from a scan perspective you want to do the series justice and give out the best product possible but, from the reader's perspective, being half a year behind and falling makes it hard to keep up faith since you never know if the groups really struggling with it and will decide it's too much work to continue, or if a critical member will get a new job and no longer have the time. And since the releases come out whenever they're ready rather than on a weekly schedule people will just not pay it much mind figuring the chapters just late until they forget about the series.
