It is interesting how Heroaca wasn't explicitly shown as a hit series in the TV special. They did a slideshow of hit series for each time period and for the 2010s, the put AssClass of course and for the others they showed Haikyuu, Soma, Trigger, BC and Neverland. They skipped over Heroaca. Naruto, HxH, Bleach, etc got their own special callout as series that followed the success of OP.
I saw how at the beginning they showed Dragon Ball, Naruto and Hero Academia openings. These 3.

By the way, in part 2 of the video, did they skip ends of 90? Yu-gi-oh, I's and Hoshi Engi didn't appear in any moment.

Yup, late 90s was basically OP, they showed late 80s to the mid-90 , then OP, and then immediately to the 00s

I basically watched the special 4 times already

Still, a little strange. These 3 were basically the only forgotten titles from all 50 years. They even remembered Koya no Shonen Isamu or Circuit no Okami

Who is hxh's editor
There is nothing concrete but I've seen a report with Monji Kengo, former editor of Kuroko, Heroaca and a few other series as the current editor.

Eyeshieldb21, Gintama, Ichigo 100%, Death Note, and Toriko are the ones I recall. Now that I notice, I missed Reborn! and D.Gray-man there.

Prince of Tennis had its own section.

I want to know so badly what was said in the Otoko Ippiki section.

they called out a few of the hit series from every about 10 years or so, unless they got a special shout out during the show they would be on the slideshow.

although it is pretty random now that I really think about it

Yes.

Someone from Japan told me it was Saito-san (who was editor since Chimera ant arc). Now I'm assuming Yu Saito? Not sure.

I don't think Kuroko was featured on the show though I think Fujimaki was, in a terrible situation anyway. They don't name them but based on recent cancellations, "a veteran mangaka" and "running for a year" all lead to it being Fujimaki.
