I think if it was truly as bad as you said it was then it would've dropped a lot more in sales. Look at how bad Bleach dropped, Souma's sales drop isn't even comparable.

Nothing drops immediately. Bleach has been dropping for years since it's peak of 1.2 million print. The biggest immediate drop happened for about 100-150k from the last volume in fake Karakura Town arc to Fullbring arc because to many the defeat of Aizen was the end of the story. But after that, it's been a slow drop for Bleach again.

Also, most importantly, look at the percentage of sales that has dropped for Soma. Bleach's drop looks big because it had monstrous sales before. Soma has dropped 30-40% from its peak. That's a huge number.

On the other side of the globe Yuuna is back to its root. So no sight of ending yet. :celebrate

My uncle who works with Nakano hears he says that if Hinomaru Zumou reaches 100k sales Soma will end :derp. All fun aside, I want to see the ending, but not with its current structure/arc.

You're right, actually, Vol 30 sold 275k in 3 weeks and Vol 15 sold 404k, (32% drop). Honestly I thought it's peak was like 350k, my mistake.

Still though, I don't think the sales drop was enough to have it end this year. Its merch sales must be good enough to give it a third season even with the declining sales, or the fabled digital sales.

Yumiya Tashiro is doing BC spinoff?

well, I'm glad he left Kodansha, he never really fitted there
I liked Night King, so much wasted potential because of the axe

hope he becomes like WNL author and proves himself in Plus then go to WSJ

just providing a visual,

note: just to be clear you can't really make a fair comparison between most series, because of multitudes of aspect but numbers are number

Is that print or sales? I'm assuming print + digital but if it's sales then that's really impressive.

Ur not technically wrong emdee. It's print + estimate digital sale since you can't print those :verily. Also, couple weeks ago Heiji posted that Jujutsu had 250,000 circulation?, which means both volumes have approximate ~10,000~20,000 reprints each + digital sales.

Only print. Nothing about digital. At worst it's written in the table. If in the 5th column it says no, it means it doesn't include digital sales.

Remember when people were saying Souma was definitely ending this year? Oh I'm laffin, we got a world tournament on our hands boys.
Actually, doesn't this mean that it's actually ending? Everyone had been calling BLUE the obvious final arc for a while.

Unless it does tournament in 11 chapters (which all Food Wars tournaments have dragged on and on) it's not ending this year whether this is the final arc or not.

I actually don't think anyone expected Soma to end before BLUE, and people were expecting a longer arc for Soma's "brother" first. That they're tying Soma's brother with BLUE pretty much means that the next arc is the end.
