BLack Clover is probably 11 or 12th. The marketplace became fiercely competitive in the second half of the year.

Sadly, I think its time to admit that BLack Clover will not be the next Naruto, unless some Marineford arc level occurrence happens five years from now. Praying.

Jujutsu Kaisen will redeem my hopes.

To give it a bit more context of how much which series really sold I calculated the backlog numbers for the Top 10 series.
Left are the total sales of all volumes, in the middle are the numbers for the volumes released between november 2017 to november 2018, and right are the backlog numbers.

5,030,624 - 4,213,684 = 816,940 Haikyuu!!

That great to see considering it hasn't had an anime for 2 years

While I do think that MHA won't grow much after the 4th season, it still has a lot of potential storylines/events going towards the future:

All might's death, traitor reveal, Gigantomachia, "Society's crumble", OFA's vestiges, Hawks' storyline, Todoroki family, probably prison break, attack on/destruction of U.A., quirk removal/enhancement bullets at the VA

I hope that Hori will decide to stop with the introduction of new characters (wether in training arcs or serious arcs) and develop the existing cast + go forward with the plot.

I hope there's a new Haikyuu anime at some point, there's clearly still a large fanbase for it.

I honestly don't think Black Clover even made it up to 12th, considering that Wotakoi and Cells at Work had huge amounts of Backlog, with One Punch Man and Conan selling a ton as well.

I would say that MHA sales will start to level out next year... but I feel like I've been saying that for almost 2 years and they're still slowly growing.

I think S4, will be a bit better received than S3. Sure, the Overhaul arc has issues, but I think the content in the latter half of the season is better than S3's. S3 felt very top-heavy in the quality of the story. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if another anime movie has, or will be, green lit soon.

I do feel some uncertainty with MHA's anime whenever it comes to post-S4. Chapters are becoming a lot shorter. I wonder how long Bones will be able to keep their current schedule sustainable after next year.

I believe last year they say that the division working on MHA don't have anything planned for two years so unless they're going to give us a filler arc the anime will be going on hiatus after the 4th season with a movie to suffice until then.

Backlog sales helped MHA massively this year. Based on sales from 2018 releases alone, it only placed 6th. I would think the only way sales are sustained to this level is if another movie comes out.

I'd be perfectly fine with taking a break. At least then the movie wouldn't hinder the production of the anime.

Can always do vigilantes then.

1- The sales of MHA new releases were better than previous years
2- The list Yonkou made was heavily eschewed and missing key factors (Slam Dunk was a re-release with 20 volumes weighed, Haikyuu had 6 volumes weighed, both of them got outsold by MHA by volume)

I think next year Hero Academia will sell slightly less and Promised Neverland will sell way more (potentially threatening Shingeki).

Black Clover is the big question for 2019. Black Clover big chance was this year..
I agree, especially condsidering series like OPM, Golden Kamuy, and Conan are more than likely going to outsell Clover next year

MHA probably balances it out by having an anime and movie promoting the manga this year, whereas Haikyuu and Slam Dunk don't. Point taken anyway though.

Having SlamDunk on there makes his list means nothing.

Why wouldn't it? By the letter of the law, Slam Dunk's inclusion is legitimate. They may be old content, but they were still released as new volumes this year.
